AIA Life Insurance Korea hosted a K-pop concert and donated to causes supporting children with cancer and young adults aging out of state care.
The company said on the 25th that it invited about 1,000 guests, including children with cancer and their families as well as young adults aging out of state care, to the "K-Pop Together, Give Together" concert held on the 24th at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and donated a total of more than 260 million won (about $180,000). The amount includes the value of the invitation tickets. About 160 million won went to Sharing & Love and 100 million won to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
The event was designed to link K-pop performances and Korean cultural experiences to community giving. About 7,000 people attended, including AIA employees, sales agents, clients and partner company officials from four countries: South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore. Roughly 900 came from overseas, and giving activities tied to local charities were also held in the Philippines and Singapore.
Park Jae-min and Tiffany Young hosted the show, which featured performances by Jinusean, ITZY, J.Y. Park, Chungha and Psy. The venue also offered programs where guests could sample Korean culture, including K-beauty and K-food.
The concert is part of AIA Group's "AIA One Billion" campaign, which aims to improve the physical health and mental well-being of 1 billion people in the Asia-Pacific region by 2030. AIA Korea plans to expand its existing customer experience program, "AIA Only Experience," into "AIA WE (AIA Wellness & Entertainment)," combining wellness and entertainment. The event also marked the first collaboration among five AIA units in South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.
"It was meaningful that we could share the joy of Korean culture with our AIA family from overseas and extend that joy to the community," said Hwang Ji-ye, head of marketing at AIA Korea. "We will continue to use our network across Asia to offer distinctive wellness and entertainment experiences."
