KG Mobility posted an operating profit of 30.5 billion won in the first half, driven by the global market launch of the Musso and other factors.
KG Mobility (003620.KS) reported first-half revenue of 2.3188 trillion won and operating profit of 30.5 billion won on a separate basis, the company said on the 28th. Compared with the first half of last year, revenue rose 19.3% and operating profit increased 7.0%.
Second-quarter revenue came to 1.1823 trillion won and operating profit to 8.8 billion won. Compared with the same period a year earlier, revenue grew 14.1% while operating profit fell 50.8%.
KG Mobility said it recorded a first-half profit for the fourth consecutive year, helped by increased export volumes through new vehicle launches such as the Musso in global markets and expanded entry into new markets, along with plans to improve profitability and productivity.
KG Mobility's sales totaled 56,759 units, including 21,806 units in the domestic market and 34,953 units in exports. This represents a 6.5% increase from the first half of last year.
"We will further expand sales volume and profitability by making thorough efforts not only in exports, which continue to show an upward trend, but also in responding to the domestic market, including providing convenient and differentiated services to customers and expanding customer touchpoints," a KG Mobility official said.
