KT与延世医疗签署医疗数据AI合作MOU

KT (030200.KS) and Yonsei University Health System will cooperate to advance medical data and strengthen the foundation for artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
KT and Yonsei University Health System announced on the 4th that they signed a memorandum of understanding at Yonsei University Health System in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, to strengthen the foundation for medical data utilization and enhance the future competitiveness of Korean healthcare.
The two organizations will carry out initiatives including expanding the foundation for medical data standardization, upgrading data utilization infrastructure, researching ways to apply AI-based medical services, and establishing a mid- to long-term cooperation framework to promote medical data utilization. To accelerate the development and validation of medical AI services, they will work to convert medical field data into a form that AI can learn from, analyze, and utilize. This is because medical records, test results, medical imaging, and research data are growing in value, yet their varied formats and structures often make them difficult for AI to use directly.
Based on its AX platform capabilities, KT will convert medical data into digital assets that AI can analyze and utilize, and build a foundation for using them securely. Yonsei University Health System will present requirements for medical data utilization based on its real-world medical field experience and expertise, and review medical staff-centered utilization plans. The organizations plan to continue identifying research tasks for medical service innovation, going beyond simple business cooperation.

"Through this cooperation, we will accelerate digital innovation across all areas of treatment, research, and education, and lead innovation in Korean healthcare." Kim Bong-kyun, vice president of KT, stressed, "Based on our know-how in advancing medical data into forms optimized for AI use and our AX platform technology, KT will work with Yonsei University Health System to lead the development of Korea's medical AI ecosystem and innovation in medical services."
