未来资产申请M-Wallet和MAPS Wallet商标以推进数字资产钱包

Mirae Asset Group is building its own digital asset wallet, accelerating its "Mirae Asset 3.0" strategy that connects traditional financial assets and digital assets on a single platform. The newly developed digital asset wallet is expected to serve as core infrastructure for storing and trading digital assets such as tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on MAPS, the global investment platform recently unveiled, or on the cryptocurrency exchange DigitalX.
According to the financial industry on the 3rd, Mirae Asset Global Investments filed applications for the "M-Wallet" and "MAPS Wallet" trademarks with the Korean Intellectual Property Office on the 29th of last month. This is interpreted as reflecting plans for an investment wallet brand for digital asset custody and trading services that Mirae Asset will offer in the future. The designated products include cryptocurrency financial transaction and issuance services, electronic wallet payment services, and securities trading and investment brokerage services via the internet.
In particular, given that "MAPS" was used in the wallet name, there is talk that it could be integrated into MAPS, the global investment platform unveiled in June by Mirae Asset Securities' Hong Kong subsidiary. MAPS is an integrated investment platform designed to allow trading of not only traditional financial assets but also digital assets such as tokenized stocks and ETFs on a single mobile platform. If the digital asset wallet is integrated into this platform, it could function as a kind of account for holding the digital assets an investor has purchased.
A connection with Korbit, the cryptocurrency exchange recently incorporated into Mirae Asset Group, is also drawing attention. Mirae Asset has announced plans to restructure Korbit into DigitalX and nurture it as a key pillar of its Mirae Asset 3.0 strategy.
"Considering the potential group-wide use of the Mirae Asset brand, Mirae Asset Global Investments, as the trademark holder, filed the applications," a Mirae Asset Global Investments official said. "This is a measure to prepare for future digital asset services."
