Hanwha Systems (272210.KS) will publicly recruit experienced employees for its space business division on a triple-digit scale in the second half of this year. The move follows Hanwha Group's announcement of a mid-to-long-term investment strategy worth 55 trillion won to become an "artificial intelligence (AI) space power."
Hanwha Systems said on the 4th that it will carry out recruitment of experienced employees for its space business division in the second half of this year. The hiring scale is expected to reach a "triple-digit" figure exceeding 100 people. The company explained that it aims to successfully carry out core new businesses accompanied by large-scale investment through this recruitment of talented personnel.
The recruitment areas span across Hanwha Systems' key advanced space businesses, including SAR satellites, space AI data centers, low-Earth-orbit satellite communications, satellite solar cells, and satellite service operations, sales and strategy. Work locations by division include the Seoul business site, the Pangyo Research Institute, and the Jeju Space Center.
Applicants must have at least five years of practical experience in related fields (including periods spent in domestic or overseas master's and doctoral degree programs). Hanwha Systems has also opened a dedicated microsite for the recruitment of experienced employees for its space business division. The company plans to make every effort to attract talented personnel by conducting various online and offline recruitment promotions in parallel.
Earlier, Hanwha Group Vice Chairman Kim Dong-kwan announced the mid-to-long-term "AI space power" strategy, which includes 55 trillion won in investment, at the "National Report Meeting on the Development Vision for Advanced Industries in the Yeongnam Region" held at Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, on the 3rd of last month. Of this, Hanwha Systems plans to invest approximately 20 trillion won in the space sector, including very-low-Earth-orbit SAR satellites, space AI data centers, and the construction of a low-Earth-orbit satellite communications network.
"This large-scale recruitment will serve as an opportunity to fully launch Hanwha Group's investment in the space sector and to lay the core human foundation for Korea to leap forward as a space power," a Hanwha Systems official said. "We look forward to strong interest and applications from challenging and capable talent who will lead the global space market."
