Hyundai Livart (079430) reported second-quarter operating profit of 5.559 billion won on a consolidated basis, up 9.4% from the same period a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing on the 4th.
Revenue for the period fell 9.0% to 373.133 billion won. Net profit rose 507.4% to 3.754 billion won.
"While revenue declined as the supply volume of built-in furniture decreased amid a continued slump in the construction industry, operating profit rose slightly from a year earlier through efficient management," a Hyundai Livart official said. "Going forward, we plan to expand revenue by actively pursuing new housing renovation projects and new B2B project orders."
