Nvidia’s rising CDS the talk of Wall Street amid circular financing fears
LOUISVILLE, Colo. - Infleqtion (NYSE:INFQ) announced Monday the appointment of Joseph Buck as senior vice president of quantum computing systems, according to a press release statement.
Buck joined the company on July 27, 2026, from Lockheed Martin, where he served as senior fellow at the Advanced Technology Center. He will lead development of Sqale, Infleqtion’s neutral-atom quantum computer.
Buck holds a Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology, where his doctoral research focused on trapping single neutral atoms inside high-finesse optical cavities. He has spent 23 years building quantum, optical, and photonic systems for government, defense, and commercial customers. He has authored more than 60 technical publications and holds an extensive patent portfolio.
"Joe has worked on neutral atoms since his doctorate, and he has spent his career delivering systems for customers who do not accept excuses," said Matthew Kinsella, chief executive officer of Infleqtion.
The company has delivered a 100-physical-qubit quantum computing system to the National Quantum Computing Centre in the United Kingdom and has systems deployed in Japan. Infleqtion plans to deliver a fault-tolerant, neutral-atom quantum computer to the Illinois Quantum & Microelectronics Park in 2027.
Infleqtion develops quantum computing, networking, sensing, and security solutions using neutral-atom technology. The company’s product portfolio includes quantum computers, quantum optical clocks, RF receivers, and inertial sensors. Its systems are used by the U.S. Department of War, NASA, and the U.K. government.
