results
that exceeded earnings expectations, though revenue fell slightly short of analyst estimates.
The consumer products company’s shares surged 8.30% in pre-market trading following the release.

The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.79, beating the analyst consensus of $0.51 by $0.28. Revenue reached $440.9 million, up 2.1% YoY from $431.8 million, but missed the consensus estimate of $443.22 million.
The company raised its full-year outlook, with adjusted EPS guidance of $3.60-$4.15 versus the consensus of $3.55, and revenue guidance of $1.768-$1.822 billion compared to consensus of $1.81 billion. The midpoint of the revenue guidance range of $1.795 billion falls slightly below the analyst consensus.
The quarter included a gross pre-tax tariff refund benefit of $26.9 million, of which approximately $23 million was reinvested, resulting in a net pre-tax benefit of approximately $4.0 million.
CEO G. Scott Uzzell stated, "Our second quarter results reflect continued progress against our multi-year roadmap. Sales were in line, and Adjusted EBITDA and Adjusted EPS were better than expected, without including the net tariff refund benefit in the quarter."
Gross profit margin expanded 800 basis points to 52.2%, primarily reflecting the favorable impact of tariff refunds and lower retail trade and promotional expenses. Adjusted operating margin improved 240 basis points to 8.6% from 6.2% in the prior year period.
The Home & Outdoor segment drove growth with revenue increasing 9.2% to $227.9 million, benefiting from strong demand for packs, higher international sales, and distribution gains. Beauty & Wellness revenue declined 4.5% to $213.0 million, primarily due to softness in hair appliances and prestige hair care.
The company raised its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance to $203-$210 million from the prior range of $190-$197 million, and increased its free cash flow outlook to $120-$140 million from $85-$100 million.
