) announced today the Tamarack-G, a hybrid computing platform combining VPX and Open Computer Project architectures for military applications.
The company is displaying the platform at the Association of the United States Army 2026 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., from October 12-14 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
According to a press release statement, Tamarack-G integrates VPX infrastructure with OCP processing for use in environments with denied, degraded, intermittent and limited bandwidth. The platform builds on the company’s Cernis, Donati and Donati-SC vehicle server platforms.
The system uses PCI Express interconnects across vehicle platform subsystems rather than Ethernet-switched backplanes. The company states this design delivers 600 times lower interconnect latency and six times higher bandwidth compared to traditional architectures.
Tamarack-G is designed to consolidate functions that previously required four to five separate VPX systems into a single chassis. The platform integrates OCP AI/ML server and GPU accelerated compute modules alongside VPX systems.
The system is designed for 360-degree situational awareness, autonomous navigation processing, counter-unmanned aircraft system detection and tracking, and multi-domain communications.
"With legacy VPX-based computing architectures widely deployed across U.S. and allied military platforms, we believe that the need to modernize these systems to support increasingly demanding AI, sensor processing and autonomous applications has never been greater," said Mike Knowles, president and CEO of One Stop Systems.
The platform aligns with Modular Open Systems Approach and Sensor Open Systems Architecture standards.
One Stop Systems designs and manufactures compute and storage products for edge computing applications across defense, autonomous vehicles and other industries.
