Investors are skittish that the review could impact takeover bids in play for the European carrier. Sources told Reuters that the review could happen in the fall of this year.Tighter ownership rules could impact the current offers from Apollo Global Management (APO) and Castlelake to buy EasyJet Plc (EJTTF) (ESYJY). Due to EasyJet’s (EJTTF) (ESYJY) strategic position in European short-haul and the presence of more than one private equity suitor, some investors had hoped a bidding war would break out.EasyJet Plc (EJTTF) (ESYJY) was down more than 11% in late Wednesday afternoon trading in London.
