Arcus Biosciences (RCUS) has signed a supply agreement with AVEO Oncology for the latter to supply its kidney cancer drug Fotivda (tivozanib) as part of combination studies with the former's casdatifan.
Casdatifan is a small-molecule HIF-2α inhibitor, while Fotivda is a vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor.
The combination will be tested in a cohort of Arcus' existing phase 1 ARC-20 trial, which is evaluating casdatifan in patients with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
Arcus is also enrolling patients in the phase 3 PEAK-1 study evaluating casdatifan plus Exelixis' (EXEL) Cabometyx (cabozantinib) versus cabozantinib in metastatic ccRCC patients already treated with immunotherapy.
