Gentherm (THRM) surged about 20.3% on Thursday after reporting second-quarter results that beat analyst expectations and raising its full-year guidance.
The thermal management company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.75, topping the consensus estimate of $0.64, while revenue came in at $416.2 million, up 11% year over year and ahead of the $392.15 million estimate, marking a record quarter driven by growth in its automotive segment.
Net income rose to $4.4 million from $0.5 million a year earlier. However, operating income declined to $10.7 million from $24 million, while gross margin slipped to 23.2% from 23.9%, reflecting higher material costs and increased expenses.
Adjusted EBITDA rose to $48.8 million from $45.9 million, though margin edged lower to 11.7%.
“The Gentherm team demonstrated strong commercial performance with record quarterly revenue,” CEO Bill Presley said.
Gentherm (THRM) raised its 2026 outlook, now expecting revenue at a midpoint of about $1.6 billion. It also lifted adjusted EBITDA guidance to a midpoint of around $192.5 million.
The company also announced a new $400 million share repurchase program.
