RingCentral (RNG) surged roughly 25% on Friday after the cloud communications company reported Q2 results that beat estimates on both revenue and earnings. The company also raised its full-year outlook and announced a 66.7% dividend increase.
In mid-afternoon trading, shares are trading at $48.14, a gain of $9.52 on the session. The stock reached an intraday high of $49.23, coming within striking distance of a 52-week high of $49.85, reached in early June.
The post-earnings jump extended a modest gain from the previous session, reversing what had been a losing stretch for the stock over the prior several weeks.
In a piece published after the earnings report, Seeking Alpha analyst Gary Alexanger highlighted RNG's AI-driven contact center growth, including net retention above 100%, and pointed to a valuation of approximately 7.0x EV/FY26 free cash flow and 8.9x FY26 P/E as attractive entry points. Read more
RingCentral released its Q2 results after market close on Thursday, reporting non-GAAP earnings per share of $1.22 against a consensus estimate of $1.17. The firm disclosed quarterly revenue of $657 million, up 5.9% year-over-year and above the $650.5 million estimate.
The company also raised its full-year 2026 non-GAAP EPS guidance to $4.96–$5.10 and lifted its free cash flow guidance to $615–$625 million.
The dividend boost was another headline from the earnings release. RingCentral raised its quarterly dividend by 66.7% to $0.125 per share, payable August 20 to shareholders of record August 6.
On the Q2 earnings call, CEO Vlad Shmunis and CFO Vaibhav Agarwal highlighted broad-based outperformance. Subscription revenue came in at approximately $634 million, above the high end of guidance, while annualized recurring revenue from customers using at least one native paid AI product now represents roughly 13% of total ARR, a figure that doubled year-over-year.
The company generated $180 million in free cash flow during the quarter, reduced debt by approximately $85 million, and repurchased 2.2 million shares for roughly $94 million. Management also accelerated its 20% GAAP operating margin target timeline to two to three years, pulling it forward from a prior three-to-four-year window.
Friday's 25% advance followed a modest gain on Thursday, as investors anticipated the earnings report. That upswing followed four consecutive losing sessions that shed roughly 10% in aggregate.
