ConocoPhillips (COP) shares closed nearly flat, edging up 0.05% to $120.26 on Friday, marking the stock's seventh consecutive session of gains.
The stock has been in positive territory since Jul. 16, 2026, and has gained about 6.58% including Friday's session. COP shares are up nearly 30% year-to-date.
Last week, ConocoPhillips agreed to acquire a 42% interest in BP's (BP) venture in northern Iraq, supporting the redevelopment of four large-scale, currently producing oil fields in the Kirkuk area.
Looking at Seeking Alpha's Quant Rating, COP has a Hold rating with a score of 3.3 out of 5. The company received an A+ in the prospect of profitability, while it got a C in growth factor.
Turning to the Wall Street community, 19 analysts gave COP a Buy and above rating. Seven analysts have given the stock a Hold recommendation, while none recommended Sell.
