不做 特斯拉(TSLA.US)
InterDigital(IDCC.US)

Tesla (TSLA) won its bid to revive a London lawsuit against U.S. technology firm InterDigital (IDCC) and patent licensing platform Avanci, seeking a court-determined license for 5G patents ahead of the automaker's launch of 5G vehicles in Britain, Reuters reported on Monday.
Tesla (TSLA) filed the case in London's High Court in 2023, asking the court to determine the fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) terms of a license covering patents owned by holders including InterDigital and licensed through Avanci.
InterDigital (IDCC) and Avanci sought to have Tesla's claim for a FRAND ruling dismissed, and the High Court ruled in their favor in 2024, although Tesla's separate challenge seeking to revoke three InterDigital (IDCC) patents was allowed to continue.
Tesla's appeal was rejected by the Court of Appeal before the company took the case to the United Kingdom's Supreme Court. The appeal was supported by interveners including the technology lobbying group CCIA and the Motion Picture Association. The Supreme Court ruled in Tesla's favor, holding that patent owners are not released from obligations to license patents on FRAND terms by participating in a patent pool or licensing platform. The case is now expected to return to the High Court.
Avanci Vehicle President Laurie Fitzgerald said the company respectfully disagreed with the ruling and continued to believe Tesla's claims were without merit.
