Bending Spoons (BSP) received mixed ratings from analysts after the expiration of the IPO quiet period.
Benchmark (Buy), Bernstein (Buy), Goldman Sachs (Buy), and Wells Fargo (Overweight) all see upside for Bending Spoons (BSP), while Bank of America (Hold), Jefferies (Hold), Evercore ISI (In-line), and JPMorgan (Neutral) are more cautious on the stock.
In the bull camp, Goldman Sachs analyst Eric Sheridan said the firm views Bending Spoons (BSP) as positively levered to enterprise adoption of AI as a secular growth theme, with the potential for AI to drive both a larger addressable acquisition pipeline and incremental opportunities to drive value creation and further operating efficiencies across its existing portfolio.
Meanwhile, Evercore ISI analyst Kirk Materne called Bending Spoons (BSP) a compounding machine but warned on valuation. "With shares popping ~23% on the IPO and now roughly in line with public company peers (12.7x EV/CY27 adj. EBITDA vs. 13.8x), we believe shares are likely to remain range bound until acquisitions start to narrow the gap between the company’s current perimeter and our out-year estimates, which include revenue from future M&A deals," wrote Materns.
Bending Spoons (BSP) went public on the Nasdaq on July 1, raising about $1.68B by selling shares at $29 each, and the stock jumped in its debut. The Milan-based company buys and restructures digital businesses like AOL, Vimeo, Eventbrite, and WeTransfer, using a private-equity-style playbook aimed at improving performance rather than flipping assets. Its IPO valued it at more than $18B at the open and reflected strong investor interest in its acquisition-driven growth model.
Shares of Bending Spoons (BSP) were up 2.0% in premarket trading to $34.75 after rising 2.1% on Friday. The post-IPO high for the stock is $43.98.
