不做 Porsche AG(P911.DE)
Volkswagen AG(VWAGY.US)

German luxury carmaker Porsche will eliminate around 9,000 jobs by 2035 as it steps up cost-cutting efforts in response to weak demand in China, slowing electric vehicle (EV) sales, and mounting competitive pressures, Reuters reported on Monday.
The latest agreement, reached after months of negotiations between management and labor representatives, provides for an additional 5,000 job reductions through natural attrition and voluntary programs, avoiding compulsory redundancies. The cuts come on top of 3,900 positions announced in early 2025 and another 500 linked to subsidiary closures. Porsche employed about 42,600 people at the end of 2024.
Chief Executive Michael Leiters, who took over earlier this year, has been tasked with restructuring the company following a sharp decline in sales in China, once one of Porsche's most profitable markets, and a slower-than-expected transition to electric vehicles.
The agreement also secures operations at Porsche's production sites until the end of 2035 and includes €2.1 billion in investments for its main manufacturing plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen and its research and development center in Weissach.
Porsche's restructuring mirrors broader efforts across Germany's automotive industry as manufacturers grapple with rising competition from Chinese automakers, slower EV demand, and the impact of higher trade tariffs. Parent company Volkswagen (VWAGY) has also accelerated cost-cutting measures, with Chief Executive Oliver Blume seeking deeper workforce reductions across the group as it adapts to changing market conditions.
