Celestica (CLS) shares jumped more than 7% in extended trading on Monday after the technology company reported better-than-expected second quarter results and lifted its annual outlook.
For the period ending June 30, Celestica said it earned an adjusted $2.54 per share, better than the adjusted $2.31 analysts anticipated. Sales jumped 62.4% year-over-year to $4.7B, above the $4.39B estimate.
“Celestica delivered very strong performance in the second quarter, achieving revenue of $4.70 billion and adjusted EPS (non-GAAP)* of $2.54, each exceeding the high end of our guidance ranges. Our adjusted operating margin (non-GAAP)* of 8.2% represents another new high for the company, demonstrating the strength of our execution,” said Celestica CEO Rob Mionis in a statement. “Driven by our strong first-half performance, strengthening second half customer forecasts, and improved component supply, we are pleased to once again raise our 2026 annual outlook. Our 2026 revenue outlook is now $20.5 billion, and our adjusted EPS (non-GAAP)* outlook is now $11.30, reflecting year-over-year growth of 65% and 87%, respectively.”
Mionis also noted that the company's visibility beyond 2026 is continuing to increase. “Driven by very strong customer demand, and supported by new program wins, we expect revenue growth in 2027 to accelerate beyond the 65% growth rate we are anticipating in 2026,” he added. “We also anticipate adjusted EPS (non-GAAP)* to grow at a faster rate than our revenue in 2027, driven by higher expected adjusted operating margin (non-GAAP)*.”
For fiscal year 2026, Celestica now expects revenue to be $20.5B, up from a prior outlook of $19B. Adjusted earnings per share are now expected to be $11.30 per share, above the $10.15 the company previously anticipated.
Analysts were expecting adjusted earnings of $10.30 per share on $19.22B in revenue for the full year.
Celestica will host a conference call at 8 a.m. EST tomorrow to discuss the results.
