Boston Scientific (BSX) said that its board has recently approved a global restructuring program designed to promote cost efficiencies and support its priorities.
The company noted that job cuts are expected.
Boston Scientific will engage in "supply chain optimization, including transferring certain production lines among facilities, targeted functional transformation and organizational structure evolution…," adding that the activities should be wrapped up by the end of 2029.
The restructuring is expected to result in pre-tax charges of $700M-$800M.
