Incyte (INCY) raised its full-year sales guidance on Tuesday after reporting second-quarter revenue and earnings that topped Wall Street expectations, driven by strong demand across its commercial portfolio, including blockbuster blood cancer drug Jakafi, skin disease treatment Opzelura and its growing oncology franchise.
Shares of Incyte (INCY) were little changed in premarket trading Tuesday. Before the earnings release, the stock had gained 29% year to date.
Second-quarter revenue rose to $1.67 billion, exceeding Wall Street's consensus estimate of $1.49 billion. Adjusted earnings were $3.09 a share, well above analysts' expectation of $2.15 a share.
Net income rose to $585.6 million, or $2.81 a share, from $405.0 million, or $2.04 a share, a year earlier.
The results underscore Incyte's (INCY) transition from reliance on Jakafi into a more diversified biotechnology company. While Jakafi remains its largest product, investors are increasingly focused on the rapid growth of Opzelura and newer oncology medicines such as Niktimvo, Monjuvi and Zynyz, as well as the company's late-stage pipeline, which includes 10 clinical data readouts expected during the second half of 2026.
"Our second quarter was marked by broad-based sales growth, continued pipeline progress and strategic business development," Chief Executive Bill Meury said in the earnings announcement. "Every marketed product contributed to growth, reflecting the strength of our commercial portfolio and execution."
Total net sales climbed 40% to $1.49 billion, helped by a $246 million one-time, non-cash benefit tied to a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services agreement involving Opzelura. Excluding that benefit, total net sales increased 17% from a year earlier.
Jakafi and Jakafi XR generated $817 million in net sales, up 7% from a year earlier, reflecting continued demand across approved indications. Opzelura sales surged 173% to $450 million, though excluding the one-time CMS-related benefit, sales increased 24% on stronger patient demand in atopic dermatitis and vitiligo. Hematology and oncology products posted combined sales of $222 million, up 69%, driven by Niktimvo, Monjuvi/Minjuvi and Zynyz.
Incyte (INCY) raised its 2026 total net sales guidance to $5.13 billion to $5.26 billion, up from its previous forecast of $4.77 billion to $4.94 billion. The company also increased its outlook for Opzelura and hematology and oncology product sales, citing continued commercial momentum and the impact of the CMS agreement.
The company also lifted its operating expense guidance to reflect the recently completed Vega Therapeutics acquisition and additional research and development spending on latarcibart, an investigational treatment for von Willebrand disease acquired earlier this month. Management said the Vega acquisition will result in an approximately $1.27 billion in-process research and development expense in the third quarter.
Beyond its commercial portfolio, Incyte (INCY) said it expects 10 clinical data readouts, including results from four registrational trials, during the second half of 2026. The company also recently acquired late-stage drug candidate latarcibart, strengthening its hematology pipeline, and expanded artificial intelligence collaborations aimed at accelerating drug discovery.
