Of note, the IPO is seeing strong early investor demand, with sources telling Bloomberg that the IPO is oversubscribed by a factor of 10X. At the high end of the IPO range, Jersey Mike's ( JMKE ) would raise close to $1.09B and be valued at over $12B, which would make it the 9th largest restaurant company in the U.S. by market cap. The IPO is likely to be the largest of the last five years in the restaurant sector, easily eclipsing the raises and initial valuations for CAVA Group ( CAVA ), Dutch Bros ( BROS ), Sweetgreen ( SG ), and Krispy Kreme ( DNUT ). The franchise-model sandwich chain has over 3.3K locations in the U.S. and a few in Canada. For fiscal year 2025, the company recorded revenue of over $4B (including franchised locations) and net income of $55M. Jersey Mike's ( JMKE ) opened more than 250 locations on a net basis. Remarkably, the chain has recorded 20 straight years of positive same-store sales growth. Jersey Mike's ( JMKE ) competes directly with Jimmy John’s, Firehouse Subs, Potbelly (PBPB), Quiznos, and Penn Station East Coast Subs. On a more indirect basis, Jersey Mike's scraps for lunch traffic with Panera ( PANERA ), Portillo's ( PTLO ), McDonald's ( MCD ), Wendy's ( WEN ), and Burger King ( QSR ).
