美国FCC宣布禁止新的外国制造先进机器人和联网电力逆变器进口

The Federal Communications Commission has announced a ban on new foreign-made advanced robots and connected power inverters, citing "unacceptable risks" to national security.
"These devices could create supply chain vulnerabilities that could disrupt U.S. economic and national security and could create a cybersecurity risk that threatened American critical infrastructure," the agency noted.
The ban covers new mobile robots such as humanoids and quadrupeds, and connected power inverters that are used in data centers and solar panels.
"Advanced robotic devices collect data that could be leveraged by malign actorsto surveil Americans, enhance the capabilities of foreign intelligence services, or toremotely commandeer the robots," the FCC stated.
It also pointed to inverters' remote connectivity, which additional vulnerabilities that "could enable foreign firms to turn off the inverters or use them to collect and exfiltrate data, facilitate remote access and surveillance by foreign government actors, or be otherwise exploited through a cyberattack."
Devices will be exempt if the Defense Department or Department of Homeland Security grants conditional approval after finding that they do not pose risks.
The ban will not apply to existing models that were previously authorized by the FCC and does not impact purchase or use by the federal government at all.
"The FCC will continue to do our part to secure America's critical supply chains and, with today's action, the FCC is acting in lockstep with our national security agencies to do just that," said Brendan Carr, the agency's chairman.
Many non-Chinese suppliers are expected to be exempt from the ban, as was the case with recent U.S. curbs on foreign drones and routers, four sources told Reuters.
