AeroVironment (AVAV) announced on Wednesday a strategic partnership agreement with Applied Intuition to add AI-powered autonomy to its Mayhem 10 launched effects system for the U.S. military and its allied forces.
Under the agreement, Applied Intuition’s Acuity ISR/Strike software will be integrated into Mayhem 10, allowing multiple systems to work together, share targeting information, and adapt to threats under the supervision of a single operator.
The companies recently tested the integration and demonstrated coordinated operations between multiple Mayhem 10 systems.
The partnership directly supports the U.S. Army’s Launched Effects program and is designed to expand across short-, medium-, and long-range requirements.
For AeroVironment, the agreement also highlights the flexibility of Mayhem 10’s open architecture, which allows third-party software and technology to be integrated into the platform.
Separately, AeroVironment said board member Stephen F. Page will retire and will not seek re-election at the company’s 2026 annual meeting.
Page has served on the board for 13 years and helped oversee AeroVironment’s expansion into a broader defense technology company.
On the market side, the stock traded ~2.40% lower at ~$152.14.
