Bally's Corporation (BALY) announced on Monday that it closed on the acquisition of Sam's Town Shreveport from Boyd Gaming (BYD) after landing approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board. The deal was noted to mark another milestone in the casino company's continued investment in Louisiana and expansion of its regional gaming and entertainment portfolio.
Sam’s Town Shreveport is a riverboat casino property next to Bally's (BALY) existing Shreveport casino, with a 29K-square-foot gaming floor, about 750 slot machines, 14 table games, a 514-room hotel, restaurants, meeting space, and a live entertainment venue.
"The transaction adds an established gaming and hospitality property to Bally's growing portfolio and further reinforces the company's long-term commitment to the Shreveport-Bossier market," highlighted Bally's (BALY).
The property will be rebranded under the Bally’s (BALY) brand in the near future, and the company plans to evaluate future opportunities to enhance the property's offerings.
