ArcelorMittal (MT) up 1.7% pre-market Monday after saying it is extending its collaboration with Microsoft (MSFT) and will use Azure as the steelmaker's primary cloud computing platform, supporting the modernization of core IT systems, data consolidation, and the adoption of AI and advanced analytics across its global operations; financial terms were not disclosed.
ArcelorMittal (MT) said it will also integrate Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Foundry and other Azure services to modernize its IT systems, improve cybersecurity and system resilience, and reduce its reliance on legacy technology.
"Together, these advances will empower ArcelorMittal to turn data into a strategic asset, enabling faster, smarter decisions and sustained competitive advantage as the company advances its long-term digital transformation," the company said.
ArcelorMittal (MT) said it will also integrate Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Foundry and other Azure services to modernize its IT systems, improve cybersecurity and system resilience, and reduce its reliance on legacy technology.
