Chevron (CVX) said pre-market Monday it is expanding its North American base oils distribution network through agreements with HF Sinclair (DINO) and Renkert Oil.
Effective May 1, 2027, HF Sinclair (DINO) will become Chevron's (CVX) exclusive distributor of Group II base oils in Canada and its existing customer territories in the U.S., as well as non-exclusive distribution rights for Group II base oils in select additional regions of the U.S.
Renkert Oil will remain Chevron's (CVX) distributor for Paralux and Paramount process oils throughout the U. S., Canada, and Europe, as well as Nexbase Group III base oils in the U.S. and Canada and Chevron Group II base oils throughout the U.S. outside of HF Sinclair's (DINO) territory.
Chevron (CVX) said the two distributors will expand its customer reach through a complementary set of regional and product-focused channels.
HF Sinclair (DINO) recently announced plans to pursue a separation of its Lubricants & Specialties segment through the capital markets, creating a new independent, publicly-traded company, and will retire its base oil refining assets in Mississauga, Ontario.
