Sandoz (SDZNY) will pay $450M to resolve claims made by 43 states that the Swiss generic drugmaker engaged in anticompetitive behavior.
Beginning in 2027, Sandoz will pay $400M over seven years. Another $50M will be paid to states that made an earlier settlement.
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella said that "internal communications and other evidence allegedly revealed efforts to discourage competition, allocate market share, and raise prices on generic medications purchased by consumers across the country."
Sandoz said the resolution includes no admission of wrongdoing and will not have any impact on its 2026 guidance.
