What SA Users Are Saying About Seagate Technology
Sentiment across recent Seeking Alpha community discussions skews broadly bullish, with users citing durable AI-driven storage demand and Seagate's position within a hard-drive duopoly alongside Western Digital, though several comments flag valuation risk and the difficulty of timing cycles.
One SA user argued the industry shift is structural, suggesting STX is unlikely to revisit past lower price levels even if growth eventually moderates. Read more
Another commenter echoed that view, expecting the current cycle to reflect lasting industry change rather than a temporary spike, with gradual stabilization ahead rather than a sharp reversal. Read more
One reader pointed to HAMR's roadmap toward 100TB-plus drives as a reason hard disk drives remain economically preferable for bulk storage over the long term. Read more
A separate SA user noted STX's climb from roughly $66 to $1,145 over approximately one year, framing the magnitude of the move with some humor as "perfectly normal." Read more
