Helix Digital, KKR's ( KKR ) new AI venture, made two key hires as CEO Adam Selipsky, the former Amazon Web Services chief, staffs up the business, according to a media report on Wednesday. The $10B joint venture hired Jonathan Lin, former chief business officer at data center REIT Equinix ( EQIX ), to lead data center strategy and execution, The Information wrote, citing a person with knowledge of the matter. Kleber Costa, former chief commercial officer of the clean energy business of AES ( AES ), will head up the venture's power and energy operations, the person told The Information. The moves come as data center developers, tech firms, investors, and supporting infrastructure businesses scramble for talent to drive the massive AI buildout planned. Helix, which is also backed by Nvidia ( NVDA ), markets the business as a single point of contact to serve hyperscalers’ data centers, power, connectivity, and related needs. Vistra ( VST ) ( ZVST:CA ) and sovereign wealth fund Kuwait Investment Authority are also partners in the AI infrastructure joint venture. The venture launched with more than $10B of committed capital to deploy data centers, power, and connectivity to meet growing demand for AI. KKR ( KKR ) stock jumped 1.9%, Equinix ( EQIX ) slipped 1.0%, and AES ( AES ) ticked  up 0.1% in Wednesday morning trading.
