Enovix ( ENVX ) on Monday announced unaudited third-quarter preliminary revenue of $11M, up 38% year-over-year, versus a consensus of $9.49M and its previous revenue guidance of $9M to $10M. Shares of EVNX jumped over 13% in pre-market trading Drone and defense customers accounted for nearly 70% of the quarterly revenue, with the total drone, defense, and industrial pipeline growing 18% to about $216M, the lithium-ion battery manufacturer noted. The company attributed the results to continued growth in the size and diversity of the drone and other defense pipelines, product sample validation by multiple customers, and progress in expanding defense manufacturing capacity. The company also announced the appointment of Steve Bakos as c hief revenue officer and general manager. Bakos was senior vice president of worldwide sales in the firm. Enovix also said it was investing $19M to efficiently double the capacity of its Korean plant amid a surge in demand for non-Chinese batteries. Source: Press Release
