Myriad Genetics ( MYGN ) climbed more than 20% in the premarket on Tuesday after the molecular diagnostics firm agreed to sell its Prenatal Health testing business to Labcorp ( LH ) as part of an all-cash deal worth more than $210M. The transaction will also include the value of the inventory of the business at the closing, which is expected to occur by early next year, subject to regulatory clearance and other closing conditions. Myriad’s ( MYGN ) prenatal health testing business, which includes its Prequel, Foresight, SneakPeek, and FirstGene tests, has served thousands of providers and over 600,000 patients over the past 12 months, the companies said. Labcorp ( LH ) expects the business to add roughly $160M in revenue and slightly improve its adjusted earnings in the first year before reaching its average diagnostics segment margins by the end of year two after the close.
