Australian biotech CSL Limited ( CSLLY ) on Wednesday announced that Deborah Waterhouse, the current chief executive officer of GSK ( GSK )-owned ViiV Healthcare, will become its next CEO effective Feb. 1, 2027. Her appointment caps a months-long executive search at the Melbourne-based firm after its former CEO Paul McKenzie departed in February following a brief tenure , with company insider Gordon Naylor taking over the role on an interim basis. Waterhouse, who has held various leadership roles at the British drugmaker, including as the head of its vaccines business and its U.S. primary care business, will also serve as the managing director of CSL ( CMXHF ), the company said. Separately, ViiV, an HIV drug developer majority owned by GSK with Japan’s Shionogi ( SGIOY ) ( SGIOF ) as a shareholder, announced that Lynn Baxter , currently the president of GSK Europe, will become its next CEO effective Nov. 1, 2026.
