Speaker A: How durable are these results?

Speaker B: Well, look, I I think they're very durable, you know, and the reason why is because the consistency really is scaling across our business. And, you know, at the end of the day, what I think we're doing is just being Starbucks. And, you know, when we execute, uh, great craft, you know, provide that moment of connection, and then put it in a place, uh, that truly is a special third place and it kind of becomes the community's Starbucks. Uh, we're rewarded with great business and that's why I think we're having more customers show up and come more often.

Speaker A: You have taken a good look at the store portfolio and yesterday on the call, you said that we potentially put the wrong store in the wrong place. So what makes the wrong location for Starbucks?

Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, look, this happens. And unfortunately, you know, we had a different strategy on how we were building stores and where we were putting putting stores and, you know, we've changed that strategy now. Now we want to make sure that our coffee houses are just that. They've got an element of being a great coffee house, and that it also can fulfill the demand as it relates to uh, all the different access points that we have. And unfortunately, we still have some stores that it's very difficult for those stores to operate against the multiple access points or be able to be the type of coffee house that we want it to be. Um, and then in some cases, you know, they're in the wrong spot. And so, um, we have to go back, we got to fix it. and the good news is it's very fixable and we're going to have a robust pipeline going forward. We're going to build thousands more Starbucks.

Speaker B: And the good news is when we build the new stores and we do these remodels, you're going to see the Starbucks that you know and love. And, you know, I like to say the shine of the brand will be back and the experiences will match that shine. And, you know, obviously, when you get a great Starbucks in a great location, uh, we're rewarded with great results.

Speaker A: Brian, one, could we see more stores shutter this year? What are you looking at for this year when it comes to the amount of stores you plan to close?

Speaker B: It definitely gets back to the roots of being a great coffee house is what the uplifts do and as a result, our partners are really proud of it, our customers love it. Um, you know, as as it relates to closures, you know, we really look at this on an ongoing basis. Um, the good news is this is more along the lines of doing some final fine tuning uh as opposed to some of the hard work we had to do initially. Uh and then it'll just be business as usual uh where, you know, we always have certain stores where leases come up or trade areas have moved. uh and it's just time for us to build a new store in a new location. So, um, I'm optimistic about where we're headed.

Speaker B: Our new stores are going to be excellent and our existing stores are going to be just, you know, world class when it comes to being coffee houses, the experience that you can have there. So, um, I'm I'm pretty optimistic about where we're going next.
