Haemonetics Corp. (HAE), a medical technology company, announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of the PerQseal Elite vascular closure system for large-bore arterial procedures.
PerQseal Elite is a sutureless large-bore vascular closure system used after structural heart and endovascular procedures. The device uses a fully bioabsorbable patch to seal vessel access sites from within the artery, enabling rapid hemostasis without leaving a permanent implant behind.
PerQseal Elite is designed to allow physicians to confirm vessel closure while maintaining guidewire access, with the option to reposition or retrieve the device before final deployment.
In the multicenter ELITE study, the device showed 0% major VARC-3 complications and a mean time to hemostasis under one minute. PerQSeal Elite also received CE Mark approval in Europe in 2025 for both arterial and venous applications.
"FDA approval represents an important milestone," said Jan Hartmann, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Haemonetics.
The approval expands Haemonetics' U.S. structural heart and endovascular portfolio following Vivasure acquisition. In addition, Haemonetics will present and discuss clinical data on PerQseal Elite at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) Conference at the end of October.
HAE has traded between $48.98 and $123.77 over the last year. The stock closed Monday's trade at $118.73, up 0.38%.
In overnight trading, HAE is up 2.45% to $121.64.
