CRISPR Therapeutics Inc. (CRSP), a biopharmaceutical company, announced that Chief Financial Officer Raju Prasad, PhD, will step down to pursue other opportunities, and A.J. Silver, currently Senior Vice President of Finance, will succeed him as CFO effective immediately.
A.J. Silver has served as Senior Vice President of Finance since January 2025. Since joining the company in 2018, he has held leadership roles across strategic finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and financial operations.
Prior to joining the company, he spent more than a decade at Ernst & Young LLP, where he qualified as a Certified Public Accountant.
CRISPR Therapeutics spans hemoglobinopathies, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, oncology, regenerative medicine and rare diseases.
The company's CASGEVY is an approved autologous CRISPR/Cas9 gene-edited cell therapy for eligible patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) and transfusion-dependent beta thalassemia (TDT). The therapy modifies a patient's own blood stem cells to target the BCL11A gene, increasing fetal haemoglobin production.
CASGEVY generated revenue of $76 million in the second quarter of 2026.
