All five once-weekly oral peptide candidates and fixed-dose combinations use Ascletis' proprietary Peptide Oral Transport Enhancement Technology (POTENT), which is designed to enhance absorption through the stomach and intestines and reduce variability in drug exposure.
The company reported oral bioavailability exceeding 10% for certain candidates at steady state, with half-lives of up to approximately 8.8 days in NHPs. Ascletis describes the bioavailability achieved across its pipeline as industry-leading. Ascletis expects to report topline human pharmacokinetic data for ASC36o by the end of 2026 and submit Investigational New Drug applications (NDA) for four additional once-weekly oral peptide programs by year-end.
