Insilico Medicine Cayman TopCo (3696.HK), a clinical-stage generative artificial intelligence (AI)-driven drug discovery company, announced that it has achieved an early drug discovery milestone in its multi-year AI-driven drug discovery collaboration with Servier, an independent international pharmaceutical group governed by a foundation.
The collaboration, announced in early 2026, combines Insilico's artificial intelligence-based drug discovery platform with Servier's oncology research and development capabilities to identify and advance novel small-molecule therapies against selected cancer targets.
Under the agreement, Insilico will lead AI-driven discovery and early-stage development, while Servier will share R&D costs and oversee later-stage clinical development and potential commercialisation. The deal includes up to $888 million in potential payments, including $32 million in upfront and near-term R&D funding.
Under the collaboration, the companies initiated two oncology research programs targeting challenging disease pathways using Insilico's proprietary Pharma.AI platform. They have also completed target nominations for both programs.
Insilico has reached the early drug discovery milestone for the first program. The milestone triggers an undisclosed milestone payment from Servier to Insilico.
"I am glad to see that within 10 months of launching our collaboration, we identified and initiated 2 programs under the collaboration" said Alex Zhavoronkov, founder, CEO and CBO of Insilico Medicine.
Insilico's total revenue was approximately $106 million for the first half of 2026, representing a year-over-year increase of 287%, alongside an adjusted net profit exceeding $51 million, marking its first profitable half-year since listing.
The strong first-half financial performance was driven primarily by a series of out-licensing agreements, co-development arrangements, and research and development collaborations with industry partners, including Eli Lilly, Servier, Takeda, SK Biopharmaceuticals, Qilu Pharmaceutical, Hygeia Therapeutics, China Medical System (CMS), and Tenacia Biotechnology.
3696.HK has traded between HK$29.98 and HK$80.90 over the last year. The stock is currently down 2.38% at HK$38.50.
