LG电子在2026 ITS世界大会公开演示V2X/V2N交通安全方案，属技术展示无新增订单

LG Electronics has unveiled a traffic safety solution combining vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications technology. V2X uses information received from vehicles, road infrastructure and mobile networks to alert drivers to hazards such as disabled vehicles, road construction and potential pedestrian collisions.
LG Electronics said on Oct. 20 it is demonstrating the solution on public roads during the 2026 ITS World Congress, which began on Oct. 19 in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. Participants can experience how vehicles detect and issue warnings about disabled or stopped vehicles, construction zones, severe weather, approaching ambulances and pedestrian collision risks along a roughly 2.6-kilometer route.
V2X enables vehicles to exchange information directly with nearby vehicles, traffic signals and roadside base stations. The accompanying vehicle-to-network (V2N) technology connects vehicles to networks and cloud servers through mobile communications. By combining the two technologies, LG Electronics uses both V2X and V2N data where direct communication is available. In areas where V2X connectivity is limited, hazard information is transmitted through mobile networks.
The solution meets the requirements for the highest rating under the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). Automakers can use it to comply with increasingly stringent safety assessment standards and enhance safety features in software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
LG Electronics is also expanding its vehicle communications business based on telematics technology. The company recently deployed a fifth-generation (5G) Release 16-based telematics solution in a mass-production vehicle model from a European automaker. It has also developed a hybrid emergency call system supporting networks from 2G through 5G. For the Genesis GV90, LG Electronics supplies a communications control system that connects the vehicle's internal electronic control units to external communications networks.
