Danaher Corporation (NYSE:DHR) stock traded higher in Wednesday’s premarket session after the company announced an AI collaboration with NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA) focused on autonomous science.
Danaher is also set to report third-quarter earnings on Oct. 21.
Targets Faster Scientific Discovery
Danaher will combine its scientific instruments, laboratory software and automation technologies with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and AI capabilities.
The companies aim to shorten the path from AI-generated predictions to experimental evidence through a feedback loop in which experiments improve models and models help design future experiments.
Initial work will focus on select Danaher instruments, with potential expansion across a broader portfolio.
The collaboration will use NVIDIA technologies including DGX Spark, RAPIDS, real-time inference and BioNeMo Open Models. The companies are also exploring Cosmos world models and Omniverse Digital Twins for laboratory instruments and workflows.
