That commitment was on full display at the recent Trades 4 Life event, an inspiring initiative designed to introduce students to hands-on, high-demand career paths. The event brought together industry professionals, educators, and community leaders with one shared goal: helping students see what’s possible for their future.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to engage directly with Entergy teams, gaining a firsthand look at the work that keeps the electric grid safe, reliable, and resilient. From underground operations to aviation support, students explored the many pathways available within the energy industry, each offering a unique way to power communities and build a meaningful career.
“It was incredible to see the level of curiosity and excitement from the students,” said Jarrod Harris, customer service manager for the Little Rock. “Events like this help them connect the dots between what they’re learning today and the opportunities that exist for them tomorrow. There’s a place for every skill set in this industry.”
The event also featured the Moses Moody Foundation, which brought added inspiration through dynamic speakers and a special appearance from NBA star Steph Curry. Their message to students was clear: with hard work, determination, and the right support, the future is wide open.
Entergy’s underground crew and aviation team played a key role in making that message real. By showcasing specialized equipment and sharing real-world experiences, they helped students better understand how critical infrastructure is maintained and how innovation continues to shape the future of energy.
