Bumble(BMBL.US)
Domino's Pizza(DPZ.US)
Johnson & Johnson(JNJ.US)
UnitedHealth Group(UNH.US)

Speaker 1: Bloomberg Audio Studios Podcasts Radio News The Stock Movers Report, your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data.
Speaker 2: Let's take a look at some stocks on the move today. Alexis Christophers, good morning.
Speaker 3: Good morning. I don't have any of the banks in here, though. I don't want to disappoint, but I know it's breakfast time, but we're going to start with a little Domino's pizza, if that's okay. The stock is down about 3.5% here, ticker symbol DPZ. Sales at existing locations. We always know this is a big metric, right? Same store sales grew less than expected. It is still struggling to attract customers. It came out with a bunch of new items. These single serve pizzas last quarter. They weren't bad, but it's just it's not enough.
Speaker 2: I know you were briefed on this by John Tucker, surveillance pizza correspondent.
Speaker 3: Yes.
Speaker 2: But it's I just don't get five dollar meals. They're trying.
Speaker 3: All of the chains are trying to undercut each other.
Speaker 2: Damien, help me here. I'm looking at the TV screen, and I'm going, where do they make money on?
Speaker 3: Right. The margins are so squeezed to begin with.
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I agree with you. And look, I mean, where is Domino's based?
Speaker 3: I think they're in, is it Ann Arbor?
Speaker 2: Michigan.
Speaker 3: Yeah. Look, I mean, maybe up there, the $ 5 will get you something a little bit more. But down here, $ 5 ain't going to cut it, right? So, I mean, people may as well just take $ 2. 1.
Speaker 2: What are they down? How much a percent, roughly?
Speaker 3: Down three and a half percent. Three and a half percent.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: They were crying.
Speaker 3: Next, Johnson & Johnson doing a hard turn and going big pharma. So this stock mixed bag here. So it's down 2% in the pre-market, but it's been having a really good year up 27% year to date ahead of this report. So another quarter of anemic sales in its medical technology division. It is now leaning toward a spinoff. rather than a sale of its orthopedics business. Overall, though, revenue at J & J matching estimates. Also, medical device unit revenue rising 2.5%. Again, that was not as strong as expected. It did raise its profit guidance, though, and this is due to demand for newer drugs and cancer and autoimmune diseases. So the stock, though, up 38% in the past 12 months through Monday's close. So taken a little off the table here in the pre-market. Also, this news just breaking this morning, the dating app company Bumble going private. The buyer, Ithaca Holdings, for $ 6. 05 a share, or about $ 1. 3 billion. The stock is up about 87% on this news, which was expected. Remember, it was founded in 2014. Remember, it was supposed to be all about giving women the power. Women would make the first.
Speaker 2: Move on the app.
Speaker 3: They walked that back in August. They're like, are we going to try something new here? That didn't really seem to do well.
Speaker 2: So that didn't work out.
Speaker 3: Yeah, the women go first model. They sort of ditched that this summer.
Speaker 1: I was at a wedding in Boston just a couple of weeks back and all these kids met through dating apps. It's unbelievable.
Speaker 3: Isn't it? But a lot of them are now ditching the dating apps and saying, we want to go the old fashioned way. We want to actually meet people in person.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I met over, it was a website called Negroni.com.
Speaker 3: Sometimes, you know, you're lucky with a Negroni. And then United Health Care. Do we have time for one more? United Health Care, up 4%. Profit outlook has been raised for the year. Also reporting better than expected earnings for the quarter. It benefited from $ 610 million in favorable reserves. Medical expenses consumed a smaller share of premium revenue, which was a welcome news for investors. And we know that they've been undergoing a turnaround plan. It seems, though, with this report that that's starting.
