CCC Intelligent Solutions(CCCS.US)
Amazon(AMZN.US)
T-Mobile US(TMUS.US)
Stellantis(STLA.US)

Speaker 1: Bloomberg audio studios, podcasts, radio news.
Speaker 2: The stock movers report your roundup of companies making moves in the stock market, harnessing the power of Bloomberg data.
Speaker 1: Let's take a look now at some stocks on the move today. I'm Nathan Hager joined by Bloomberg's Dan Curtis on a deal Monday. I guess it's still reported deal Monday, right? Dan, this, uh, Amazon-Dekart AI thing?
Speaker 3: Good morning. Good morning.
Speaker 2: That's right.
Speaker 3: Still reported. Amazon shares are up about a tenth of a percent, as it's said to be in talks to acquire Dekart AI in a deal that could be worth up to $ 7 billion. And that's according to the Wall Street Journal. The report cited people familiar. and said negotiations could wrap up soon, but there's still a chance they collapse. This is coming about a month after Bloomberg News reported Anthropic walked away from a $ 6 billion offer for Descartes, citing people familiar. So potentially a bit of a bidding battle here. There was previous interest. Obviously, Anthropic walked away from it. And so what's so interesting, Descartes produces software that can reduce the cost of training and operating AI by helping the chips work more efficiently. It also makes world models and has a Lucy AI model that lets people try on clothes digitally by dressing them up in video. So some fun real life application of AI right there.
Speaker 1: Okay, well, so while we wait to see whether Descartes AI is really a deal target, looks like we may have some firmer information about another potential deal target on this Deal Monday, CCC.
Speaker 3: We're definitely seeing a big pop in this one right now. So CCC, Intelligent, ticker CCC, is up 9% in the pre-market. GTCR and Elliott Investment Management are said to be near a deal for the software firm. The deal could be reached as soon as this week, according to people familiar, and it hasn't been finalized yet, so the details could change or fall apart. That said, CCC has been working with a financial advisor to explore options and another bidder could emerge. There's already been reports from Bloomberg News that CCC was in talks with Copart, as well as several other PE firms. So if you want to talk about potential bidding war, it seems like this company is getting a lot of interest. Share up 9%. It was up 7% on Friday. So market's trying to chase this one higher.
Speaker 2: Okay.
Speaker 1: Well, we did get some comments overnight from the CEO of Stellantis that seemed to be moving that stock this morning.
Speaker 2: That's right.
Speaker 3: So Stellantis shares are up 2%. We have the Paris Auto Show going in, and the Stellantis CEO telling Bloomberg TV that a split of the company's 14 brands, including a sale of the Maserati plant, isn't an option. So Maserati has been a particular point of concern with sales falling to about 8,000 units this year. That's down from 26,000 in 2022. The CEO also commented on EU capping Chinese hybrid car imports, saying the regulation should enable a playing field. Stellantis separately announced a private venture with Tata Motors to provide vehicle architecture to Stellantis. So a lot of moving parts with this car company today.
Speaker 1: All right. And close us out here with a look at T-Mobile because analysts have been taking a look at this one.
Speaker 3: Yeah, so T-Mobile up about 1% in the pre-market. We talked about this Friday. It ended up falling 13% that day as SpaceX came out as a competitor. It's fallen 45% from its January 2025 peak. Analyst Frank Luthan sees the buying opportunity as a pullback. He's at Raymond James, and he upgraded the stock to outperform from Market Perform. And he says, quote, recent fears over SpaceX competition are overblown as it is three years plus from becoming a reality, end quote. So he sees that this sell-off, this selling pressure is a potential entry point for investors.
