Expansions at the company's Tognana, Italy, technology campus support growing worldwide demand for advanced thermal infrastructure and strengthen Vertiv's cooling innovation capabilities
COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 21, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, today announced investments at its Tognana campus near Padua, Italy, to expand manufacturing and integrated testing capabilities for data center cooling systems. The company expects the investments to double chiller production capacity in the region by the end of 2026 and plans to complete a new large-scale testing laboratory in early 2027, supporting growing demand for AI and high-density computing infrastructure.
The new laboratory will enable testing of large-scale chillers and validate their integration with liquid cooling systems under high-density load conditions and extreme temperature ranges. The expanded capability is intended to help customers validate thermal performance under expected site conditions and deploy increasingly complex cooling systems with greater speed and confidence.
"AI is driving thermal demands that didn't exist two years ago, with higher densities, faster deployment demands, and no room to compromise on reliability," said Gio Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv. "The expansion at Tognana puts us further ahead with more manufacturing capacity, integrated testing, and advanced thermal management systems built for current and future generations of silicon. This investment reinforces our position at the front of the curve."
The campus serves as one of Vertiv's principal centers for cooling technology development, integrating research and development, product management, manufacturing, testing, and customer engagement. The site includes a Customer Experience Center where customers and consultants can participate in witness testing of a broad range of cooling technologies across the thermal chain under real-world operating conditions.

[00:00] In a year, a year and a half, it's not that easy to do after about a year and a half, you already hear that there's somebody.
[00:00] in your district beginning to campaign and it's going to oppose you in the next election, so you have to go back to your district to take care of that.
[00:00] And how much work do you get done?
[00:00] 🎼Technology is embedded in every aspect of our lives and that revolution is playing out in real time from finance to defense.

[00:00] Let's shift our focus to.
[00:01] MoneyRewired the increasing overlap between crypto and tradf or traditional finance Bank ofmerica is elevating new leaders to help steer the firm.
[00:01] Approach to crypto and ai technology among those is channali tyson, she's been named global head of Bank of america's digital assets.
[00:01] She also leads B's F e trading and market strategy investments in her new role, she will provide enterprise leadership for the design.
[00:01] Build scaling and governance of bank of america's digital assets platform and chali i'm pleased to say joins us now for an exclusive conversation.
[00:01] Thank very for having meSo you have a pretty big reit. I just went through kind of everything that you'll be covering. How do these two role the new.
[00:01] That you've added on your existing role, How do they naturally fit together Yeah, I think there's a lot of synergieser, thanks for asking. So as we've seen electronicification.
[00:01] Ofs we've seen new technologies be deployed, cloud computing, AI, As, and likewise, distribute led technology.
[00:02] It presents a new opportunity for us to do things more efficiently, On the other hand, know the strategic investments portfolio and partnering with Fintech.
[00:02] I think is going to be a critical part of the evolution of digital assets. we know we can't solve for this alone, we need to come to industry standards.
[00:02] models. And I think that there is an important role for Fintech to play in doing that with us. I'm curious about the push for this new role. Where did it come from today.
[00:02] Come from existing B of A clients asking for the types of products and services that you and your team plan to develop, or is this something?
[00:02] That you're building, intending to bring in new money to the firm I think about yes and yes, I think about it as continuing to food.
[00:02] Future proof our businesses, right, like we are always looking to modernize financial markets expeditiously and safely. And this role.😊
[00:02] An increasing interest that we're seeing in financial services in digital assets. So the one thing that we know, as you said, is we're going to be client LED and.
[00:02] Focused in our build and our approach for all of this, because innovation needs to work in all market conditions. And we've spent decades.
[00:03] Building up the trust of our clients through resiliency, through scale, through liquidity provision in all conditions. So anything that we're going to touch is going.
[00:03] Uphold those same st standards the fact that you're keeping your old role and taking on this expanded role is not an accident clearly the firm sees.
[00:03] Digital assets as an extension of the trading infrastructure that currently exists, not a separate business, but then you look at say JP Morgan, it has connect us as a standalone.
[00:03] City also built the digital depositor receipts through its security services division so I guess the question is what's the advantage?
[00:03] Of embedding digital assets inside e trading rather than having a stand out on its own standing it up independently as its own unit.
[00:03] So this is a broader remit across the enterprise and as we see use cases emerging across the enterprise and different lines of business.
[00:03] For us to take a coordinated approach across the firm to do. so I think, we are again going to be use case driven, client driven some of the areas.
[00:04] That we're seeing initial promise and interest or in areas like collateral mobility, there's obviously a sectoror there for the F.
[00:04] E tradinging markets, but it's not a surprise that we're seeing interest in collateral mobility with rates elevated, moving collateral.
[00:04] Arounds the globe more efficiently has been top of mind. and this is one more way that we can use the technology to do so on that technology one thing.
[00:04] We talk about a lot of stable coins, and I'm just curious about the way you're viewing stable coins versus sort of building joint tokenized deposits.
[00:04] Ofmerica JPm in City, they're said to be building a joint tokenized deposit network that's expected to go live in the first half of next year, is that something here?
[00:04] Yeah, so I think the firm is engaged in all of these discussions Okay, so let's say that happens if the three largest US banks issue tokenized deposits.
[00:04] move to a shared ledger that's essentially a private sector alternative to the Fed's payment rails and to stablecoins like USDC. does that mean that that banks.
[00:04] Don't necessarily needtether or need circle at all. I think that the digital payment leg for assets is.
[00:05] We need to solve for in the U.. and i don't think that there's one solution yet we're open minded, whether it's tokenized deposits, stable coins.
[00:05] Other forms of settlement, We've also been an investment initiative around wholesale deposits at central banks. I think that payment leg.
[00:05] Now what's going to work is still evolving. So at Bank of America, we're involved in the Clearinghouse initiativeniative brand tokenized deposits. We're also involved.
[00:05] With Project Faro, which is around, as you mentioned, regulated stable coins and even more broadly around Zll payments, I think that this ecosystem the.
[00:05] Cament leg for the digital asset is one that the industry is still solving for. I don't think that we have one clear cut answered yet.
[00:05] We're remaining open minded and working on all fronts I mean, that technology is certainly evolving, but I wonder as you look out, what's the single biggest?
[00:05] Obstacle to digital assets becoming permanent. Yeah, that's a great question. I think that it's not about proving the technology.
[00:06] Any, I think it's about proving the benefits and how we're going to scale this. You know, We need to move away from just.
[00:06] Thinking about how could we integrate the technology to how we are really going to explore business benefits, the complexity of that question is high.
[00:06] These challenges are new, whether it's thinking about things like you know gas fees or 24/7 staffing or.
[00:06] Digital custody, these are all new questions and actually proving the economics for this for different institutions, everyone's going to come up with.
[00:06] Their own math around this. So I think in terms of getting to where we can scale and again, going back to the resiliency has to operate in all.
[00:06] Environ, you know that's where I think if some people think that this isn't moving as fast as it can with larger institutions, I can't overemphasize.
[00:06] The complexity of doing this at scale and proving the commercial benefit you've at the since 2018 you're new to this role specifically the addition.
[00:06] Of this role, we are going to keep in touch. We hope to have you back here sitting right here in six months. When we do have you back here in six months, What will you tell us that will.
[00:07] That what you're trying to build succeeded. Well, I'm going to have to think about the next success. Look, I think for us there.😊
[00:07] YesI think we're going to start with the foundation and building that platform and making sure that it is interrupt.
[00:07] For any emerging use cases, we know that this is coming fast and furious to all pockets of the financial sectors.
[00:07] We need to make sure that we've built a platform that can adapt quickly, and I think those will be the benchmarks that we measure ourselves against.
[00:07] What see as a Bank of America customer, what will I see I think, anything different?
[00:07] a couple of days into this role. So I don't have a crystal ball on what you're going to see in six months. What I can tell you is that we are firing on all cylinders around deploying.
[00:07] Buildiling a stable platform and really starting from the center out what talked about some of these themes around digital collateral, digital cash.
[00:08] BuildOut from there, because I think once you have some of these building blocks in place, all the different things that you might put on top of that platform will become easy.
[00:08] And So that's our focus. And that's what he's going to end up seeing at some point. Yes hey, we appreciate you coming in China and please do come back. Don't be a stranger.
[00:08] And she's recently been named global head of Bank of Americaica's digital asset platform well coming up had eight shares surging after the firm double down.

[00:12] Cs like Bitcoin mining and AI. Bloomberg's Monique Mal has been reporting on this story, and she joins us. Now, Scarlet and I were just talking about.
[00:12] This Monique, the identity of HuD A and what investors need to understand, is this a company that's going all in on AI and getting away.
[00:12] From Bitcoinco mining, is it a Bitcoin miner that's adding a little bit of AI, what is its identity right now Def they are going all in on.
[00:12] They've been really focused on expanding into data centers specifically for AI and they've been transitioning a lot of their business.
[00:12] coin mining into these types of data centers, they sell a bit of exposure to Bitcoin because they have the stake in American Bitcoin.
[00:12] So they still have some of the impacts of the declines they've been seen in the Bitcoin prices, but they've really wanted to focus on this new and growing.
[00:12] Opportunity of all this demand for compute for artificial intelligence that has better economics than Bitcoin you mentioned Americanic.
[00:12] This is the Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. Bitcoin mining Company, we've talked to Eric Trump several times about this.
[00:13] In the last few months, does this mean anything for their stake in American Bitcoin or the way that I think analysts are.
[00:13] Thinking about American bitcoin's commitment to Bitcoin versus AI now analysts aren't really thinking about this impact that'.
[00:13] I have on American Bitcoin American Bitcoinco has said that they are going to be focused on Bitcoin mining that is the purpose of the company they are not looking to get into debt.
[00:13] Ad centers at this point but for hot8, they're going to still be focused mostly on data centers analyst lets have note that it's kind of.
[00:13] Fortunate that the stake in American Bitcoinin is weigh on them as Bitcoin price defines impact the Bitcoinco mining economy.
[00:13] But they're really hopeful about the growth in AI and they expect to see revenue and earnings growth from this becon point data center, so that' should to help.

[00:14] The becon point data center is going to be fully commercialized, so they now know and are able to predict what the revenue and earnings for that are.
[00:14] re going to be and they're expecting to start to see some growth for that in 2028, and they're also hopeful that this now also shows that other data centers at h it.

Data centers expected to use 4x more electricity by 2035
URL: https://techcrunch.com/2026/07/21/data-centers-expected-to-use-4x-more-electricity-by-2035/
Data centers are expected to use one-fifth of the electricity generated in the U.S. by 2035, four times that of today, according to a new report from BloombergNEF.
A surge in AI compute will push data center capacity to nearly 200 gigawatts over the next decade, the report predicts. Nearly half of that capacity will be devoted to training and inference, and most of that will remain concentrated in the U.S. By 2033, the country will host 64% of AI chips by power demand.
Based on previous forecasts, those figures could be conservative.
BloombergNEF’s new estimate for electricity demand in 2035 is 83% higher than what the consultancy predicted in December. Other organizations have raised their forecasts, too. EPRI, an electrical industry nonprofit, has more than doubled its 2024 estimate, while S&P’s forecast rose by more than a third between October and April. The revisions reflect the fevered pace of data center development across the U.S.
In the coming decade, BloombergNEF expects the majority of new data centers to hit electrical grids that are already strained. The PJM Interconnection, which spans Virginia to Illinois, will see 34% of its electricity go to data centers, while ERCOT, which covers most of Texas, will have to devote 22% of its generating capacity.
PJM, which already hosts a large number of the country’s data centers, has struggled to cope with connection requests from both large generators and large loads. It paused applications for new sources to connect to the grid for four years, putting it in a precarious position as demand continued to grow.
Though PJM reopened the queue to new generating sources in April, the situation has grown so dire that one utility, American Electric Power, has threatened to pull out of the interconnection. The supply-demand imbalance has pushed electricity prices up 76% over the past year.
Even with the congestion, data centers still want to connect to PJM — they represented 38% of charges in the grid manager’s most recent capacity auction.
Despite the U.S. claiming a majority of AI compute, data centers will continue to grow elsewhere. By 2033, if AI adoption continues along an aggressive trajectory, data centers will create 1,935 terawatt-hours of new electricity demand worldwide, nearly as much as India uses annually.

BlackRock, Carhartt, Ford and Google launch skilled trades workforce initiative
URL: https://www.cnbc.com/2026/07/21/blackrock-carhartt-ford-google-skilled-trades.html
BlackRock, Carhartt, Ford Motor Company and Google have announced a new initiative to expand access to skilled workforce training in response to growing labor shortages.
The companies' Alliance for America's Skilled Trades intends to work with labor unions and trade associations, invest in apprenticeship programs and raise awareness to promote pathways into the trades, according to the joint release issued on Tuesday.
"Investment in America's infrastructure will help shape the country's long-term economic trajectory, but its success ultimately depends on the skilled workforce that brings these projects to life," Bayo Ogunlesi, BlackRock's chairman and chief executive officer of global infrastructure partners, said in a statement. "Expanding that talent pipeline requires long-term commitment and partnership across sectors."
Mounting evidence points to opportunities in the skilled trades.
A shortage of skilled tradespeople, largely due to experienced workers aging out of the workforce, has led to more job openings and higher pay for electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers and builders.
At the same time, fear that companies will need fewer white-collar workers as AI capabilities improve is creating a "negative feedback loop with no natural brake," according to a February report by Citrini Research, an investment research firm.
Those job market shifts are contributing to more students choosing short-term, career-driven pathways, other research shows.
Enrollments in undergraduate certificate and associate degree programs both grew by about 2% in fall 2025, while enrollment in bachelor's degree programs rose by less than 1%, according to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center.
Americans' confidence in a bachelor's degree is falling, while two-year associate's degrees are gaining steam, a recent Lumina Foundation and Gallup poll also found.
"A four-year degree is still the gold standard," said Courtney Brown, chief data and research officer for the Lumina Foundation, which is focused on advancing higher education opportunities. However, "community colleges are doing really well with affordability and value," she said — "more people gravitate towards that."
'A critical inflection point'
"We're at a critical inflection point where demand for skilled trades is accelerating while the available workforce continues to shrink," Paul Morgan, the global chief operating officer of real estate management services at JLL, said in a research note published in April. JLL is a global commercial real estate and investment management company.
Morgan said the skilled trades shortage "threatens how we power our data centers, cool our laboratories, secure our manufacturing facilities and maintain the spaces where millions of Americans work every day."
Despite growing public opposition, new data center construction is key to supporting the artificial intelligence boom, fueling a massive infrastructure buildout.
"Building the physical infrastructure for America's future requires significantly increasing the pipeline of skilled tradespeople across the country — a challenge that can only be addressed with collective action," Ruth Porat, president and chief investment officer of Alphabet and Google, said in a statement. Google is also one of the largest builders and operators of data centers.

[01:00] point and the question is why we spend more money than any other nation in the world in human history.
[01:00] Our military, even before the 1.5 trillion, why can't we take successfully on Iran those are the questions.
[01:00] That are going to be asked, so you know if he's going to turn to a logbook of op research about a senator or a member of Congress.
[01:00] That's nothing I think themer people at this point care about, we need answers on a war that we are now stuck in because the president decide.
[01:00] To enter it, and he did so without a strategy to win Well, and Leslie, when we consider that the supplemental.
[01:00] A funding request that Pete Heckseth is going to be defending was made before we launch new strikes on Iran that we've now seen for 10 days in a row.
[01:00] Do you think it's likely that they're going to have to come back with another ask to Congress for more money at a later date and if you had to put this money?
[01:00] a reconciliation package just to be able to get it through, can they realistically expect lawmakers to be able to deliver again.
[01:01] that but I want to go back to something that was just said, we are not losing this war, Are we winning it I think 100%.
[01:01] The military campaign has absolutely been won by the United States, we have decimated more than 90% of their military industrial base.
[01:01] Could still hit an airb in geo, but that just requires a single like that requires one or two operational like systems and this is coming from non.
[01:01] Aists and generals at the DoD that have repeatedly said we've decimated their na for a generation. We have significantly cut off their ability to provide fun.
[01:01] ter proxies, we have very seriously damaged integrated their ballistic missile capability. So the United States military campaign has been.
[01:01] Incredibly successful in Iran the problem that you've got is that it's really hard to get everything, as you said, and one or two.
[01:01] Missiles, one or two drones, one or two sea mines can shut down the entire strait of homs, and that is really what's happening.
[01:02] Holding the entire world hostage right now by not allowing traffic to flow through the Strait of H moves.
[01:02] Uniteded States, countries everywhere and now they are attacking other countries in the region and this new attack that has come out now by the houthis threatening.
[01:02] To shut down the Red Sea that impacts Saudi Arabia, it doesn't impact the United States of America, that is the houthis at the behest of Iran.
[01:02] Declaring war on Saudiaudi aia for no reason indeed that the closure of the Strrat is impacting some countries more than the United states.
[01:02] I think the critics who have at least joined us here on the air question the strategy while it is a tactical.
[01:02] Military success, it has been a strategic challenge because Iran still has the keys to the straight.
[01:02] And shut it down even with a speedboat and I think can we say we're winning and I think the issue is and the president has said this, right?
[01:02] He didn't realize, and even I would never have thought that Iran would threaten the entire global economy.
[01:03] By shutting down the st of homs, it hurts them, it hurts everybody, it hurts people that they would need potentially to be on their side down the road.
[01:03] Nothing but alienate the entire world and make enemies. So yes, that is hurting us absolutely, but that doesn't impact the.
[01:03] ary accomplishments that we've made. and I just want to make sure we're making a difference on that. as far as money goes, I think we'll see it feels.
[01:03] We've been learning more about their capabilities, and I would hope that in response to that, we have found better ways to shoot down Shad.
[01:03] Instead of using million dollar missiles, I was just in Ukraine. There's a company there called Skyfall, and they have developed.
[01:03] A drone that they can produce for $100 that can shoot downish ahead. So there's a lot of technology out there. And I think some of this big.
[01:03] know,Dollar amount that they're asking for is because they're wanting to do this once in a generation investment in the defense industrial base to bring.
[01:04] new technology and modernize the military. Well, of course, to get any of that money to invest in the technology, once again, Jean needs going to.
[01:04] Be ask to Congress, not just for the supplemental funding, but the actual appropriations that the DOD has asked for again, one and a.
[01:04] You also need the Defense authorization Act reauthorization to pass. and right now, it doesn't seem that Democrats are willing to.
[01:04] sFor thatWhere do you think this road ends can they hold firms so long as we're still actively engaged?
[01:04] And conflict in the Middle East, yeah, I think that, you know, my guess and don't, I wouldn't bet on this, Kaylelee.
[01:04] But my guess is that the NBA in the end, it probably does pass, I think we have already heard from Democrats who will not.
[01:04] upport it but there has never been a moment in American history when we had an N and it hasn't passed so odds are this thing.
[01:04] But you know, I would just go back to something that Leslie said while, you know, she said she and Donald Trump didn't expect.
[01:05] Iran to do this in the straightra, well, I'll tell you who did every single person who ran a crisis simulation.
[01:05] Single president since the Iranian Revolution of the late 1970s, that was why president after president stayed.
[01:05] from a war of choice with iran because they have the ability to do this and so i think it is deeply.
[01:05] Concerning if Donald Trump somehow missed that important bit of information and maybe he's missing then some expertise on his.
[01:05] Tam the other thing that I think is important to say is that you can go to people like like Maria Barterromo on Fox News.
[01:05] Who is, you know, a friend of Donald tru's by all accounts, she has been questioning how is it we are spending this month?
[01:05] American taxpayer money and we can't beat Iran because you know what, they haven't been beat, they have been holding there.
[01:06] OWe tried an airstrike that failed, we tried a naval blockade, we signed the MOU that failed and now we're back to this tip for.
[01:06] The president went into this without an imminent threat and he went into it without a strategy for success.
[01:06] A big problem for him, but it's also a problem for us and the world economy, and so I do hope the NDA passes, I think it will.
[01:06] But we've got bigger issues, which is, do we spend this much money for a military operation that hasn't?
[01:06] Been vetted by Congress, and apparently the administration has yet given us a strategy that they can win with.
[01:06] Just about an hour away from that conversation, which ought to be doozy of a hearing, we're going to press pause on the panel because they're coming back.
[01:06] After we spend some time with congressman Byron donalds, he's going to be with us in studio here in just a moment Jeannie shanzao leslie shed will be back as well.
[01:06] To reflect on what we talk about with the congressman first, we turn to Wall Street where it's rallyied time for stocks and oil. Let's get to it with Charlie Pellett,.
[01:07] in new yo cha how we right now higher across the board yes off session session highs, but still substantial gains for the.
[01:07] The S&P nasdaq all about chip stocks today wall Street staging a comeback as dip fires emerging we got a rally in chip stock.
[01:07] The, the Philadelphia stock exchanges semiconductor index up now by5.5% down industrials 44.
[01:07] He's6 now up nine tenths, S& also hire by 9 tenths of 1% for the Nasdaq 100 index rallying with those chip names.
[01:07] Now by 2% on the socks, as i mentioned up5.5%, 30 out of 30 members of that index are trading higher.
[01:07] Just above 17 of 10 year, 4.62%, two year, 4.25% gold up $61.
[01:07] The to 4069 of1.5% and West Texas intermediateccrued surging against stock higher oil is rallying W.
[01:08] 🎼up 2.4%8595 of barrel Brent, the global benchmark back above $91 now, barrel of Brent up by.
[01:08] .1%App shares are gaining all part of a broader tech rally up by5 tenth0s of1% Apple preparing to introduce.
[01:08] Apple Up it's a leasing program that will mark one of the biggest ever changes to how the company sells its devices.
[01:08] vo Norordik is suing Elila Lilly accusing its rival of misleading advertising as competition in the market for obesity.
[01:08] Bugs eats up further, shares of Novo Nordik they are down six tenths of 1% lily are by 1%.
[01:08] ing the socks is surging now by 5.5% oil is rallying up 2.4% on WTI S&P up 91s.
[01:08] For on demands 24 hours a day, subscribe to bloomberg news now wherever you get your podcast i'm char.
[01:08] All right a busy day in financial markets, cha Pellett, thank you so much and it's a busy day, a busy week.
[01:09] capitol hill specifically in the house of representatives, which is racing to get done a long list of things before they break for the august recess and they're going to try to take that.
[01:09] St today by passing a rule, this is procedural to try to tee up votes on everything else, this is government funding, this is the national defense office.
[01:09] We were just discussing with our political panel and of course, the budget resolution to try to get reconciliation 3.0 across the finish line.
[01:09] should mention freshresh off at Charlier pelellet Market check stock trading ban for congress is also included all in the next 24 to 48 hours.
[01:09] So the speaker has to defy gravity once again, can he pull a rabbit out of the hat we're lucky to have, as I mentioned some.
[01:09] With the congressman from Floridada, Byron dons is with us Republican representing the 19th Congressional district and also happens to be a candidate.
[01:09] For governor of the Sunshine state congressman welcome it's great to see you here in our bureau, thanks for joining usberg start with we've been walking out on procedure.
[01:10] All day today, before we get to your race, does the speaker have the votes for the CR are we about to get this done I believe so?
[01:10] at the end of the day, we know that the Democrats have been talking for about a month now about wanting to see another government shutdown right before the midterm, so think about this.
[01:10] The Democrats would rather shut down the government for political purposes because they have no solution, they have no policy, they're just trying to oppose the president.
[01:10] At every turn, and they would shut down our government again, just for the sake of getting more votes- they telling you that behind the scenes because we asked Democrats every.
[01:10] And they tell us they remember how bad the last one was and they don't want to show come on man like they're going to tell you what their real plans are hear that we hear they are telling you behind the scenes.
[01:10] This is what we're hearing, and so to get away from that kind of nonsense, let's just continue government funding until after the elections are over.
[01:10] From there well, before we move to your election in particular, this budget reconciliation package, more than $90 billion dollars.
[01:10] Sending that is not offset by anything does that sit well with you look, I think we have to do what we need to do for our military.
[01:11] Right now make sure that they have the funding that they need Secondarily, I believe, is about $12 billion in funding in there for agriculture interest throughout the country.
[01:11] F is on that list back in Februaryary, Floridada lost 3.5 billion worth of crops from the big actic.
[01:11] Freeze that move through that early week of fe, we lost three and a half billion in crops Floridada is slated to receive some.
[01:11] Those dollars, but it's also indicative of what's happened to Washington, D there is no talking to the Democrats, they don't want to talk about anything constructive.
[01:11] So then reconciliation becomes a vehicle of use in order to get things done for the American people we saw analysis from Bloomberg intelligence about the farmers specifically.
[01:11] This $11 billion is believed to go to in many cases, particularly for older farmers to pay off debt.
[01:11] We're going to have to have another round here for help for America's farmers if China doesn't start buying soybeans or if we're not selling white corn across the.
[01:12] To the extent that we hope I don't think so, but I think it's important that we stabilize our farms here in the United States in short.
[01:12] Be in a situation where we are importing products from overseas, we don't want to be in that position, so farming agriculture is a bedrock.
[01:12] Found of our country, any country, especially ours, we want to be able to feed our own people, and so what we're doing in reconciliationli 3.0.
[01:12] to make sure that our farming community has the resources they need so we can still put Americanan food on the table for themeran people.
[01:12] And to be clear, this is to be something that the Democratscra work with us on and they refuse to So you want to make sure people are fed, people also want to get.
[01:12] that they're going to have access to water and access to things like power obviously an issue in Florida, specifically around data centers.
[01:12] You very well may be up against in Novemberber, Mr. Jolly has suggested that there should be a data center moratorium in the state of Floridarida like we're now.
[01:12] Seeing in New York, you are arguing for a different approach, basically bring your own power, is that the happy medium, how do you guarantee that?
[01:13] That will protect ratepayers ultimately if data center demand keeps moving higher well a couple of things one what they did in new york makes no sense at all.
[01:13] It's one of the reasons why capital writ large, not just around AI, but in any other part any other industry is leaving New York because they have stupid regular.
[01:13] Po that doesn't allow for capital to flourish we don't want to see that happen in the state of Floridarida numberumb two, we already have on the book senate bill.
[01:13] Gover dess just signed it into law in our state utility rates for floriians will not go up because of a hyper scale.
[01:13] Data center, the other thing that's a part of that bill, you have to get a consumptive use permit from our water management districts who are expressly tasked with.
[01:13] Protecting Florida's aquifers in order for a data center to be constructed to make sure that they contain water usage to protect Florida's fresh water resources.
[01:13] So into the future, what I want to see happen on these data centers if they're allowed to, if they come to Florida, to build a closed looped.
[01:14] tem on site. So whatever water they do take initially, they recycle and clean that water and keep itself contained on their property.
[01:14] The last thing, and I think a lot of Floriddians are looking at this proximity, listen, I don't want to see a data center outside of my front door I knowians don.
[01:14] see one outside of their front door, so making sure that they're away from residential areas just makes common sense, that's the way you do this well Mr. jolly.
[01:14] Saying is that he needs to go study a more he needs to go study and have a moratorium place where he can go study it the truth is if you have a governor who knows economic,
[01:14] Who knows how to look at us building schematic, you don't need a year long moratorium, you can make real decisions in real time that are in the.
[01:14] Interest of Florians while also making sure that if you do build one of these centers, that it can bring real economic impact and a positive.
[01:14] ay to the state of Florida. So these moratoriums they sound good politically, but that's because it's a political answer instead of mitigating the.
[01:14] That do come along with hyperscale data center if your bill became law and this story is really important to our audience at bloomberg we talk about e congressmen every day and as.
[01:15] We've traveled the country, this midterm cycle. We've really been surprised at the level of nimiaism that we're hearing the data center has become a true pull.
[01:15] If your bill becomes law, do you embrace data center for job growth, for economic growth, Is this the future?
[01:15] our economy Well, that's the wrong way to look at it. You have to look at what companies are already doing. Every company on the planet, every industry on the planet is already embracing AI.
[01:15] It's happening right now, the question is do we have enough bandwidth to support all the uses, and this is where from a national security perspective.
[01:15] If the Trump administration is very clear, the Chinese do not want us to build out the infrastructure because they the Chinese want to build that infrastructure.

[01:16] Our data, the other piece is that compute power is going to continue to expand in the United States, and so if you're a small business.
