- 映射模式: customer_demand

- 英伟达 (NVDA.US): 211.94 +2.56%
- 博通 (AVGO.US): 418.16 +6.61%
- 美光 (MU.US): 892.67 +7.62%

- Super Micro (SMCI.US): 31.69 +10.65%
- Dell (DELL.US): 467.27 +8.92%

[21:00] Yeah, I mean, I guess it's tough not to say the religion given there's.
[21:00] Weakest in over a year for the US business, which is so critical to McDonald's and then the timing with the replacement, so I don't have any kind of inside knowledge.
[21:00] What's led to that decision, but it's tough not to draw the line between these two events, what's interesting to me in the U.
[21:00] And maybe what's kind of going on with this change is you know we saw that the sales growth that they did have, which was very low, was driven by higher.
[21:00] icket price rather than in to drive traffic, right?
[21:00] So I'm wondering too, if kind of what's going on with that strategy, if that's sort of maybe underlying, maybe a rethink of what's going on in the US.
[21:00] Well, course McDoals was the poster child for the Ksh best then that they're seeing problems.
[21:00] With the lower income customers, and yet at the same time, price pressures for their ingredients.
[21:01] The company saying that their under $3 menu is underwhelming their expectations, so that is interesting that that lower.
[21:01] Interesting that they've been pushing into sort of higher quality.
[21:01] ality menu items as well. So maybe an attempt to sort of address the upper end of the economy as well. Can we make this more of a family restaurant again.
[21:01] ling some stores, trying to get this into a regular sort of, they obviously are still doing things, probably picking up a lot of.
[21:01] Thing that we're talking about as well and seeing what they can do. interestinging that that whole idea of lowering your prices isn't necessarily the thing that's working for them,.
[21:01] much for joining that's bloomberg we are looking at all time highs, at least in the future.

[21:02] But here's what's standing out here, we are seeing demand tied to ai data centers helping make up for weaker spending elsewhere.
[21:02] At the AI build out is still going strong now from here over this under pressure down 6%.
[21:02] Disappointed investors the company now has more than 300 million paying subscribers being.
[21:02] To see its aI features and its ticketing business actually translate into more growth and finally over to nike we're seeing shares.
[21:03] Sining down about 3.4% this is after a downgrade from jp morgan jp morgan saying that nikes win now.
[21:03] Danny, norra, thank you very much, Nike.
[21:03] Posting a tough stretch in there Ron appears to be gaining traction get.
[21:03] That's after this break.

[21:04] 🎼Meed to keep track of breaking news in depth market analysis and the most influential newsmakers in and around China. We need to do more to.
[21:04] 🎼The market more I think we call little sweet spot massive savings already a different Bberg the China show week.😊
[21:04] 🎼9 PM Eastern time right here on Bberg context changes everything on.
[21:04] The relax row, which is an economy is I think one of the coolest things we've done in the long time, a blocked middle seat.
[21:04] Have you had that idea for a long time in fairness, Air New Zealand, this one that came up with and I've wanted to do it ever since they did it of all this stuff.
[21:05] 🎼I personally think it is one of the coolest things we've done. I love the idea to relax, when I was a teenager, young.😊
[21:05] 🎼20s flying when I saw an empty row of three seats and the plane taken off, I'd never been more excited soon.
[21:05] She got up to about 35,000 feet I was on it trying to lie down and move the armrest to make this work I spent a number of trips when I was young.

[21:05] Younger son, don't miss blue Jay.
[21:05] Get your fixed income fixed watch Bloomberg real yield every Thursday at 12 pm Eastern.
[21:05] 🎼Right here on bloomloberg context changes everything at the epicent of a global realignment on a scale not seen.
[21:06] 🎼Decades at the intersection between markets, economics and geopolitics, a forum for sophisticated conversation this.
[21:06] 🎼Is Bloomberg surveillance.
[21:06] Let's get you some high interest stories so look at what's making headlines around the world.
[21:06] In thropic is locking in more Ai horsepower, the cloudmakerr signed a $10 billion six year computing deal with nviDdia backsstar.
[21:06] Vta it'll give them capacity at a Norway data center that's packed with nvidia's latest chips the move underscores the soaring demand.
[21:06] And the soaring costs of the AI race the U joined Japan in buying yen for the first time in decades analysts say that washing support.
[21:06] May come with strings attached, including faster Japaneseese investment in america, trade concessions, higher defense spending and pressure on the bank of ja Japan.
[21:06] And the U and Iran may be nearing a deal to reopen the Strrait of Treasury secretary scott been says.
[21:07] Areement could come soon while Qatar confirms a draft proposal is circulating president trump is calling it iran's last chance for a deal.
[21:07] And says an agreement could come as soon as today this is a last chance for them to sign a.
[21:07] Good document, I think we're going to maybe get something, but I want to give every last chance before decapitation.
[21:07] toughough do what we have planned still plannedll see what happensberg.
[21:07] respondent jeff mason feel like we've heard that before, maybe not the decapitation line, but this is your last chance line, the negotiations that are going on with the guitarataris or.
[21:07] DraftJust how short term would this agreement be versus something that actually provides an off ramp to peace.
[21:07] And I think it's Oman that's maybe both Oman Qar involved, but certainly Oman was one of the interlocutors.
[21:08] I think it was a foreign minister or a spokesperson yesterday who said they're working on a short term deal just to get back to tour.
[21:08] It's opening of the Str of Hs and just bringing the two parties back into a mediation scenario and there are questions about it.
[21:08] Because president Trump is saying that they're talking, Iranan has said that they're not talking, the omanis are saying that they're sort of in the middle.
[21:08] Is there any chance that this president will agree to let Iran and or Oman charge?
[21:08] going through the straightWell, he has said he won't and yet that's exactly what the those two countries apparently are working on so that it goes in.
[21:08] It's diametrically opposed to what President Trump has said, I mean, he even said yesterday if anyone's going to charge a fee, it's going to be the United States, there's no real mechanism.
[21:08] For the United States to do that unless the U leaves forces in the region. and if he did that, then that would indicate a much, much.
[21:08] than I think the president had in mind what is the military position that the U finds itself in right now because there had been reports of exhausting.
[21:09] Basically all munitions how important is that fact in the background is all these negotiations are ongoing it's absolutely one of the factors i mean the president.
[21:09] Ms reports that that was a big deal, but he in the same breath said, i wish we had more and that's again, for the President tru cover, president Trump.
[21:09] time and sometimes he'll say the quiet part out loud, which is his way of confirming something, even if he doesn't think it's a narrative that's in his interest.
[21:09] And I think in that case, that was the example of how we did that Another issue that's coming up at the White House today is there's a meeting with AI executive.
[21:09] Maybe not CEO level, but below that, talking about China chips, what are they trying to accomplish?
[21:09] So context here, this meeting is happening just a few weeks really now or a month and a half or so before President Xi of China is.
[21:09] Com to the white house and that is absolutely a big issue between those two countries, which i don't need to tell you or our audience, they will be talking about security.
[21:10] And had an executive order about AI not too long ago, which involved some artists.
[21:10] And that's an issue that they'll be discussing It does feel like this companies can't agree whether they want open source.
[21:10] They want chin involvement they don't, but the direction that this white house is moving in there was a Reuters report that they were looking at banning certain optic components.
[21:10] In data centers that are made in China, where does it seem like this White House is boun, Does it seem like some of their hawkishness on China trade will.
[21:10] Into them looking at banning various Chineseese models or components it's hard to say I mean, the president wants a really good relationship with presidentxi.
[21:10] But he also wants to win in the AI battle, just like he wants to win in Iran and he wants to win in other areas, that's kind of his guiding light.
[21:10] As a politician and as a businessman, so there competing interest for him there as they make those decisions. Where does he go from?
[21:10] Here in terms of issues, he's got the Iran war continuing to go on, no resolution on the AI stuff that's going to go on.
[21:11] With maybe a cr that the house will or will.
[21:11] Not a proof so when everybody comes back at the end of august, what are they going to be talking about what's the president?
[21:11] G to do if anything to try to help republics through the midterm well, he is traveling today and tomorrow he's going to california and to nevada and he'll be.
[21:11] Talking about the economy and doing some fundraising, so I think that's a sign that he's moving at least slowly into midterm mode.
[21:11] Keeping in mind that he was supposed to initially, according to the white house spend the entire spring touring the country and talking about the economy.
[21:11] Gtison those plans agenda certainly for the fall because of those critical midterms.
[21:11] Making that case and yet the iran war hangs over all of it.
[21:12] And just the downward pressure that bet's putting on his approval ratings, which really matter when voters go to the polls Jeffeff, thank you so much.
[21:12] Joining us again great to have you in studio that's Bloberg's Jeff Mason coming up on the show, Nimer Kang joins us to explain why the AI conversation.
[21:12] Is shifting from capex to monetization you're watching boomberg open interest.
[21:12] Rey continue at this rate, what we see in our data as a consumer so spending because it's okay and that probably means.
[21:12] The rest of the markets end the construct in the final domain.
[21:13] Hiring what's building a plant, whether it's the inventory buildup boom.
[21:13] 🎼good morning this is money. this is the Asia.
[21:13] You're watchingberg is Bloomberg television.
[21:13] 🎼E investors, top executives, global Innova.
[21:14] 🎼on the day top stories insight.
[21:14] Has Linda on him only on Bloomback.
[21:14] This.
[21:14] Investors buying despite lingering macro uncertainty now investors are.
[21:14] Let's bring a North Star As management chief investment officer nimrick kingang and nira, you described this as a.
[21:14] not a rollover, but I wonder a rotation into what, because as we hit all time highs or we look like we're about to today.
[21:14] Mag7 that yet again is picking up the pieces and rallying Yeah, but we are seeing the equal weight index go all time high.
[21:14] YouAnd the other thing is this earn season, almost 26% growth year on year in earnings, you separate out the non.
[21:15] ICompan thatI non AI companies are growing their earnings by 17%, that's an acceleration from 14% in the last quarter.
[21:15] So this is becoming a broad based theme in the market, Danny Well broad based is interesting because we sawll.
[21:15] Today, huge results and they're giving the credit to AI power generation sales.
[21:15] How much more much well, for this you know for the healthy market.
[21:15] It has to get broad based that's been the premise all along, a narrow group of companies can't continue to lead this market higher.
[21:15] Because the rest of the corporate America that's spending on AI has to start to see those benefits come through in revenue growth.
[21:15] In margins and we are seeing that one of the things that we have seen, we monitor a lot of the industrial companies that sit outside the AI trade.
[21:16] Look at the rail companies you are seeing over year, so all of those things point to where there's a trickle.
[21:16] effect happening from just AI centered expenditures into broad based in other industries and sectors as well.
[21:16] I'm so happy that Mike brought up Caterpillar Nimred and your comments there because it does feel indicative of a trend that we've been seeing and you're pointing it.
[21:16] More companies getting this trickle down from aI I wonder though if there's just a risk within that, let's take caterpillar as an example.
[21:16] 23% last month, its worst since january of 2009 because it was caught up in the AI sell off trade.
[21:16] I wonder if there's a risk that it's that double sided coin that yes, it does well because of AI, but when AI sells off all this.
[21:16] way more things are correlated than you would usually think Ab and we saw that in July were.
[21:16] Easily able to spot all the companies that had gone up because of the AI trade because they wrote it down on the other side, too.
[21:17] Where you figure out July was a great data point in helping us understand the benefits of diversification, so almost like a seesaw we had a seeAP.
[21:17] In the market all the time, the companies that are very delivered to AI, when they go up, they all go up from caterpillar to direct.
[21:17] Conductors to construction companies, all of them, and the other side is the companies that are not a direct derivative.
[21:17] The AI play the you, in July, we saw a bit of a rebound capital flowing into some of those, what we would call.
[21:17] All the companies that have been left out of being directly supported by the AI build out very quickly before we take a break here.
[21:17] Can you put a timetable on how long this can last in terms of when stuff is built, then all these ancillary?
[21:17] Companies aren't going to have the incoming revenue, that's hard I mean if you think about it started in 2022.
[21:18] Now, almost four years later that we're starting to see get broad based into the economy.
[21:18] Tough one, but we are just continuing to follow the earnings and so far the hyperscalers are willing to invest Hey stay with us.
[21:18] To pay our own bills and get through the opening bell nimer k is sticking around, let's get a quick check on markets ahead of that opening bell and we are.
[21:18] set for a record high the s& future session is already there the nasdaq outperforms up 1.2% aided by palant.
[21:18] Strong earnings and by10 year yields, which are rallying yields come down three and half basis points that in turn is because of oil.
[21:18] This correlation come back over the past week lower oil means higher markets front crew currently at $80 a barrel after earlier this morning trading.
[21:18] As 86 on the other side of this break it's your opening bell.
[21:20] 🎼Everybody has a moment where they put into action all they've.
[21:20] 🎼ctic where they step up to a challenge and either succeed or fail. But what are those moments for some of the world's most.
[21:20] It was a rough and humblemble world and I thought, okay, I can rise up, I can play this game and I did play the game.
[21:20] And it was depressing and it was disappointing my chair at the time sat down with me and said,Session starts now.
[21:20] Lqua, an award winning journalist for the last 25 years I've interviewed world leaders, bank bosses, even fashion icon.

[21:21] 🎼A poor decision is always better than no decision You have to have truth tellers around and you have to be willing to listen.

[23:00] Well never leave you but you need to leave it Wow everyone has a dream and a lot of dreams are, you know, my dream is to play football and play professional football.
[23:01] You get the dream comes true, but it is going to end and the day it ends, the day before it ends, you're one of the best in the world the next.
[23:01] Wake upThat's gone. What are you great at And the truth is nothing right, I'm not great at anything else I talk about it all the time, Steve.
[23:01] idea of it's not from penthouse to penthouse, and what I mean by that is you played for 15, 20 years and you're in the penthouse.
[23:01] It doesn't mean that you come to the business world and you're going to be in friendhouse now you don't start in the third floor or the lobby, you actually have to start in the basement.
[23:01] 🎼Good morning good morning. This is Savan. We back to the opening trade.
[23:01] 🎼Bloomberg money. this is the Asia trade. This is Wall Street week. Welcom to balance of power. You're watching Bberg deal. We to Bloomberg this weekend.😊
[23:02] 🎼This is Bloberg television get your fixed income fixed watch Bberg real yield every Thursday at12.😊
[23:02] The Eastern right here on bloomberg context changes everything.
[23:02] raab released its second quarter earnings yesterday after the closing bell the Southeast Asian.😊
[23:02] Super app boosted its annual earnings and sales forecasts thanks to robust ride and delivery demand in the region.
[23:02] This is how shares currently go 3% on the U listed ADRs. joininging us is grab's chief financial officer, Peter Oe.
[23:02] Like the demand story, you're basically pretty confident about the state of that demand picture on R.
[23:02] And delivery, my curiosity is around like how recent a change that trajectory is, like what's happened.
[23:02] what you were already seeing term it actually what's been really interesting was.
[23:03] That we're seeing actually started well beginning of the year and when we entered the second quarter, especially in the March.
[23:03] We were exiting here one with the fuel crisis and the war happening, we were actually revisiting a situation.
[23:03] What was going to happen in the second quarter, given Southeast Asia, we were the hotest impacted with fuel prices.
[23:03] We didn't actually see the play out, even though fuel prices went up, we leaned in fairly hard in supporting the driver community.
[23:03] We also leaned in in helping the consumers with affordable rides and what we actually saw was completely the opposite actually we saw.
[23:03] Rs grow at 28% on a year a year basis, one of the highs that we've seen, and we saw also our on demand business both on food and.
[23:03] Also on demand GB grew at 21%, so it was a very robust, very resilient ASEAN economy despite.
[23:04] Some of the challenges we had with macro here in Southeast Asia, but also we also saw the marketplace very healthy at the same time.
[23:04] And driving the profitability in the business Peter, the top of the Bloomberg tech story on Grs about the South.
[23:04] What do those transactions look like for you in the period, Like, what kinds of trips are these are they from the CFfoOs.
[23:04] pect the kinds of transactions that you want to see driving top line. Yeah, it was actually a very balanced the way we saw.
[23:04] We saw the domestic commute still very strong, both in two wheels and four wheels, the rights were up 28%.
[23:04] Which is very strong for us. We saw a lot of the one out of four new users coming in through the what we call.
[23:04] The Saber program, which is more affordable rides, but we also saw that premium rides also were up 90% on quarter run.
[23:04] ater base, so it's a really well balanced portfolio all across the many cities that we're in here today. And I think that really speaks just.
[23:05] The the broad range that we have in terms of pricing capacity for our user base, they can enter through more of affordable ride or more.
[23:05] Premium rice at their choice, despite also some of the macros that we were seeing in Southeast Asia now also if you look at food delivery.
[23:05] Very, very similar also that we saw, we saw a very real balanced portfolio between what our Saor and also priority delivery also.
[23:05] On the technology side, you have AI powered concierge and you've introduced the ability to split the far if you're riding with friends.
[23:05] The big question is did that bring new users to the platforms, is there anything tangible there?😡
[23:05] we introduced these new product called group rights where you can share your ride with friends, split the bill effectively, we had it actually in a foot.
[23:05] Liry business and we port it across through our rides and actually that really helped some of the affordability.
[23:06] As friends, we're just grouping rights on the way home on going to work, I going to a party, etca, and that really also helped.
[23:06] The affordable rides are part of our business, and that's great, but also at the same time our airport.😊
[23:06] Rise also was also very strong in the quarter. So despite some of those traveler impacted from.
[23:06] flights coming out of the Middle East. So it is a very, very strong view too despite some of these challenges. Peter, just end.
[23:06] The food delivery business in Southeast Asia is as fierce, right in terms of competition, there are the existing players, you've got new entrants coming.
[23:06] What is your plan to kind of keep ahead there on the tech side we're going to get you a double down edge on.😡
[23:06] On technology and also featuring a lot of the new products around AI capability, one of the things we offer focused.
[23:06] ing one is on grocery delivery and if you look at our Gr Mar branding portfolio, which is really nonfi delivery that really.
[23:07] It grew at 54% just from the number of transaction actually was growing 1.7 times faster than our food.
[23:07] Humans are really starting to embrace grocery delivery in Southeast Asia here, still very early, very nation, but yet we are seeing really good momentum.
[23:07] Good CFO Peteri back on the show. Thank you very much indeed for your time.😊
[23:07] story for the first time, Apple exceeded $10 billion in sales in India, underscoring a widening retail push.
[23:07] Dana Walman joins us with the details what's within this $10 billion dollars right for a long time we've been tracking Apple's traction in that market.😊
[23:07] It's a very different economy to others that Apple prioritizers give us all the info we need. So in these numbers, which I should say were previously.
[23:07] Reported before bloomloberg reported them, it was the iPhone iPhone products that were leading those sales it turned out.
[23:08] MacBooks and iPads were up to, but really the iPhone, which is of course what the company is most known for, was leading that sales surge up from 9 billion.
[23:08] rior fiscal year there's another big report from Bloomberg on Apple, and that is the CEO John Turner.
[23:08] As of September 1, incoming CEO has brought in some talent, a leader for the man.
[23:08] But it's somebody that had left that had retired. Who are we talking about. Yeah, so Laura Leros, who was his lieutenant previously.
[23:08] When he ran hardware engineering, she was a vice president at that level, and it is unusual for Apple to bring back retired executives, but it will probably,
[23:08] erve John Turn as well as he settles into this new role to reach toward someone who was so loyal and reliable.
[23:08] In his previous post and we don't know too much about what she will be doing, she will here to be a vice president and we know that she'll be working.
[23:08] And what is essentially a cross functional, cross disciplinary function, but it will go beyond just beyond her.
[23:09] m hardware And I think most people around the world of technology will know this, but.
[23:09] What is happening on September 1, the big change in leadership at Apple. So Tim Cook is stepping aside, not from the company, but he will.
[23:09] Handover the reigns as CO and he will become executive chairman where he will focus more on things like high level geopolitical relationships.
[23:09] Foreign leaders and that will leave the running of the company itself the core business to m. Turnsman who.
[23:09] OurConum technology editor at Bloomberg Tech. Thank you very much indeed. Let's stay with Apple, the company briefly.😊

[23:13] Re from a data center in Norway managed byta and Reuters reporting that the fcc is drafting.
[23:13] 🎼banan on imports of some Chinese data centerric components to protect the US industry's infrastructure proposed ban on.
[23:13] Hyperscalers, of course, heavily rely on to run and train AI programs is aimed at preventing Chinese firms from installing.
[23:14] Alware or sealing data critical to the AI boom Ed you, the China tech rivalry moving.
[23:14] On chips according to sources, officials in Beijing are growing increasingly concerned about anthropics frontier AI models.😊
[23:14] All ahead of a planned September meeting between President Trump and China's Xi Jinping, Bloberg senior tech editor Mike Shepard joins with the latest.😊
[23:14] So I mean the direction of travel in this story is slightly different to those we've been covering in recent weeks and months, but this is China being worried.😊
[23:14] About the leading Us frontier labs and their models. Well, that's right. And What we are seeing is almost the other.
[23:14] Some of the arguments that officials in Beijing are raising really echo some of the arguments that we have heard in previous.
[23:14] Heres some U.S. officials when they've complained about certain tech products, including TikTok, for example, and the national security risk that they.
[23:14] Through data collection and other means of sharing information with an adversarial government in this case.
[23:15] T from Chinese officials is that anthropics, mythos and other powerful AI models could be used as offensive weapons.
[23:15] Against their economy in some fashion, and they didn't offer any specifics, but this is an issue that will be on the table very clearly.
[23:15] They have some misgivings over it not having access to this model, but those are concerns that were shared by a number of U.S allies in.
[23:15] Weeks and months after anthropic made that disclosure that its mythoss system in a was so powerful that it could only be.
[23:15] Shared with a small handful of trusted partners and access has since been expanded, but it still remains small.
[23:15] continue to be denied to China, of course, If you go back to when President Trump visited China,.
[23:15] Of America's chip industry was that he would get some result for them so that they could more freely export lead edge chips to China.
[23:16] Americaica's concern on the chips has been, well, we don't want China's military to have access to that technology that will.
[23:16] lp them in their own national interest or in their own national security context. What was the net result of any of that, Was it discussed in China, Will these.
[23:16] Topics we discussed in September here in the States. Well, there will be a meeting ahead of whatever summit takes place between president.
[23:16] Donaldal Trump and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, and at that, the lower level officials, probably cabinet level for the U.S.
[23:16] Likely Treasury Secretary scott bessen, who has taken an increasingly po position when it comes to matters of artificial intelligence.
[23:16] Negotiations more broadly with chin, they will discuss some of these parameters before the two leaders actually sit down here.
[23:16] In Washington and the concerns will all be on the table, it will be everything related to AI, including the chip curbs at the U.S.
[23:16] Has gradually been easing, but perhaps not to the extent that China would want while the U.S. is allowing sales onvidias H200.
[23:17] For example, to Chinese customers, China so far really has not given the green light in the other direction for those purchases.
[23:17] We will see some questions raised there, there will also be questions about whether Chinese AI companies themselves are engaging in unfair practices.
[23:17] Anthropic, for example, has accused Alilibaba, one of China's biggest tech companies of using a process known as distillation.
[23:17] fairly gain advantage and essentially copy some of their models. And, of course, it's important to note that in singling out anthropic.
[23:17] China is pointing to a company that does not do business in China, mainly because the CEO Darri Amedade has singled out China as.
[23:17] US. adversary and a threat to national security, so all of this dynamic will be on the table as the two sides meet.
[23:17] Even before the leaders sit down, we'll be wanting to see how they actually negotiate a lot of these intenses differs.
[23:18] Over the way Chinese models have been developed and also some of the export and other curs in place, including our rare earths.
[23:18] 🎼Bberg's Mike Shepard, thank you very much coming up, we're going to get back to Wall Street's expectations for this week's big earnings space.😊
